Sniff, sniff. That song killed me. Killlled me. I am going to be a hot mess when G starts K. In 4 years. I feel like should preemptively start counselingto help me deal.
Also lol at the mom who is taking pictures of her kid at the bus stop and her kid getting on the bus.
...and then the mom shows up at the school too. She probably followed the bus in her car. lololol
My mom did this when I started Kindy, and she literally filmed the bus driving down the road while they are in the car driving behind it. An entire 6 minutes of the back of a bus on home video.
The schools here actually recommend parents go up on the first day.
Right, I get that. But I was just laughing at her putting her kid on the bus, following the bus in her car, then getting out again. Come on, that's funny!
oh ok..that part is funny. Although i do think my friend did basically the same thing at a different school in the district yesterday.
I can tell I'm totally a jaded Mom (already have had 3 go to Kindy)....that video just made me nauseous & reminded me of my hatred of school buses. I thought they'd show a day in the life like that Montessori video people post so I was kind of bummed it was just going to the classroom. Lol

I am broken. I was like:
What did get me about kindergarten is seeing my DS hope out of the car and walk himself into school all by himself and I would sometimes see him stopping and holding the door open for other kids too.

Sometimes I wish I could put a GoPro on DS1 during the day. I am always so curious about his day, what he does, who he plays with, etc. The video was cute but I wanted to see more of the day.

Well, tears from me.
DD's daycare teacher made a slideshow of her 5 years at daycare and had that music as the background. She had to know what she was going to do to the parents who were watching their 3 month old baby turn into a kindergartner.

Our district does a graduated entry for K. so the first 2 days are 1/2 days and no bus - so the parents have to take in and pick up.
I have a friend that the first day her DS took the bus (so the 3rd day of school), she absolutely followed it and got pictures of him getting off it too. It made me laugh.

I figured that the same week I turn 40, DD will be starting Kindergarten and my niece will be a freshman in high school. THERAPY HERE I COME!

That song is killing me. I was already feeling melancholy this week about how fast my littles are growing, even though DS is still only 7 months old. SOB!
