But for you front claspers, she says "no, no, no."
Doing the Flip: There is a wrong and right way to put on your bra. Women who do the “flip” will ruin their bras. This means that she puts the bra against her body, upside down and hooks the bra in front. Then she rotates the bra around so that the crushed cups are in the front and flips the bra up to meet her bust. This will cause the wire to poke out, dents the cups, and stretches out the band. Yikes.
Did you know you should be replacing your bras every six months?
What??? That's crazy! I buy 2 bras every year or two because at $70 a pop I can't do more! Damn 32FF!
The first time I got properly fitted I spent nearly $160 dollars on 2 bras, since I am also a FF. I have enough bras - mainly too big in the band because 28/30 with a big cup size is a) essentially only online and b) really expensive - that they won't stretch out that fast.
I used to do the back, but now I can't do that as well as I used to. So now I do this sideways kinda deal where I fasten it as far over as I need to without doing it fully in the front and then I position it to the back.
If my outfit allows, I just wear a lined camisole with a built-in. My boobs are big, but not so big that I can't do that a lot of days. I've gotten bra-lazy.
I used to fasten in the front. Then somewhere in The Great GBCN Bra Fitting a year or two ago I learned that if you fasten in the front and twist it around, your band is too big. Once I got the right size bra I started doing it in the back. It took a few days to get the hang of it (and my bras all have at least three hooks) but I've got it down now.
That great bra fitting thing was life changing. LIFE CHANGING.
I always do it in the front, and have problems constantly with the wires poking out. Huh. I wear a 34N though, so the amount of finagling required to clasp it in the back is crazy.
A few years ago, there was an MM poll on this, and I was SHOCKED to learn that lots and lots of people do the front thing.
See, I'm shocked so many fasten in the back! I never really did but I don't think I could after my shoulder surgery (FWIW, I unfasten in the back b/c that doesn't take as much coordination).
See I find fastening in the front means that my boobs can't be properly positioned in the bra, plus it stretches out the bra pretty quickly. My bras are like $70, I need these things to last! I can't think of a bra I have had with less than three hooks in the last ten years.

I have to assume this is for people buying poor quality bras, wearing the same one daily, and/or washing them in the washing machine. I wear mostly Chantelle and Natori and hand launder with a gentle detergent. I never even have to move to the second hook before a year and a half.

Wut? I'm a front fastener and this is not at all how I do it. This method is asinine.

I'm 36B and have no coordination. I couldn't fasten it in the back if I had to. I can't get a two-piece bathing suit because I haven't found one yet that I can put on.
I also have trouble with dresses that tie in the back. If they come undone, I ask a colleague or female student to tie it (preferably the former). This is a problem with my fine motor skills generally; sometimes I have trouble with keys.

I think I still have bras from high school... one day, puberty will come-signed, 32A.
38G backward fastener. Imagining how the material would feel twisting around my body makes me cringe. I've got some weird sensory stuff going on. Plus it's quicker to do in the back.
See, I absolutely can't do it in the back. Mine are big, multiple hooks get complex quickly... I thought it was pretty much impossible... but there are a lot of people in the Buzzfeed comments who aren't small and fasten in the back.
I've tried, I really have. I feel like it's a sexy adulting fail.
See, being big-boobed, I think that turning it around would be more of a PITA. Just sticking/tucking everything in where it's supposed to go. That's a workout, man.
Yes, this! I don't even want to talk about my bra size, but I will just say that sadly, each cup looks like a large hat and I also have a big band size. I tried the twisting around thing and it just doesn't work. Bend over to get them in place in the cups, stand up holding it on, and then fasten away.
I am not particularly flexible. I cannot wrap my brain around how the ladies with the larger bra sizes are fastening in the front. Cannot comprehend how that is easier, comfortable, or getting a good fit. Will have to sacrifice a bra and experiment tomorrow. Once upon a time, my cup size got into the I range. Still was a back fastener.
