Did you know you should be replacing your bras every six months?
I have to assume this is for people buying poor quality bras, wearing the same one daily, and/or washing them in the washing machine. I wear mostly Chantelle and Natori and hand launder with a gentle detergent. I never even have to move to the second hook before a year and a half.
Not necessarily. It really depends on how hard you're working your bras. Six to nine months is average.

Source??
Maybe this is something that happens in the world of the well-endowed lol.
see I think twisting the bra around adds unnecessary seconds
It takes one second! This is blowing my mind like people who put their toilet paper roll on backwards. How can sane people do such insane things lol?!
yeah.
so, I grabbed one of my EXTREMELY rare two-hook bras and tried to put it on by hooking the back.
First, you have to get the boobs into the cups. With the back unfastened, so they kept flopping out. Now, maybe (probably) my boobs are floppier than most, but that was a whole lot of no fun. Then, getting the back clasped. Get one hook hooked, try to hook the other one, get it, but unhook #1 in the process. Over and over and over again. FINALLY get them both hooked and I STILL have to bend over and jiggle them into place.
Took much longer, was much more uncomfortable.
...the things I do for this message board continue to amaze me.

Try bending over in the first place. Then boobs shouldn't be flippy-floppin' all over the place. Lower boobs into cups, reach back and clasp as you stand up, then bend over against to adjust if needed.

I get that, but how do you hook several hooks without unhooking the hooks that are already hooked?

I...don't understand the question. Like I have literally no trouble hooking several hooks without undoing any of the others.

I'm not a member of the big boobie club, but I don't put the boobs in the cups. I put the band around where it goes, hook it and then put the girls where they go. Most of my bras are also demi cups or whatever it's called for the low cut deal so it's easy to pop 'em into place.
If I'm wearing a strapless with a million (four) hooks on it and I miss one I don't have to start over. I only have to start over if I do the bra equivalent of this:
I don't have the time or coordination to attempt to clasp it in the back. Hell, I don't have the coordination to efficiently remove it from the back either.
I fail to see how doing it in the front and twisting will stretch out the band. I clasp it around my waist and flip it around there. My waist is not larger than my bra band so nothing gets stretched out.
I get that, but how do you hook several hooks without unhooking the hooks that are already hooked?
This sounds like your band is too big
no. it doesn't ride up in the back, and I'm on the largest set of hooks (or maybe the middle I DON"T KNOW BECAUSE I DIDN'T SEE THEM)
I kinda stretch it out to do this, because I don't know how else to do it. Maybe that's the problem. Do you leave the eye section of the hook-and-eye just laying there, and hook all the hooks in one fell swoop, or do you have one section in each hand? Do you get them all in one movement, or do you do them one at a time?
I can't believe I have so many questions about this.

I have one in each hand and start from the bottom. Sometimes I can hook two at once, but it's generally not my goal. I don't let go until all are hooked.
See, I absolutely can't do it in the back. Mine are big, multiple hooks get complex quickly... I thought it was pretty much impossible... but there are a lot of people in the Buzzfeed comments who aren't small and fasten in the back.
I've tried, I really have. I feel like it's a sexy adulting fail.
I have K cups* and fasten in the back. The underwires are too big to swivel around my ribcage once the bra is fastened.

Ditto - just hook in the back and let is sit wherever, then place the boobies into the right spot after with a swoosh action.
Aside from flipping it around and that part not being comfortable, I don't want to put my arms into the straps AFTER the band is in place. How do you get a good strap fit that way?

My friends in college mocked me for the way I put my bra on. So I tried to start fastening it in the back, but I just can't do it. And I've TRIED! I'm just not coordinated enough. I always get the hooks mismatched, then it's all lumpy against my back.
My mom puts it on by fastening it in the front, then twisting it around, so that's how I learned to do it too. I've seriously contemplated trying to teach my daughters how to do it the "normal" way once they're old enough.
I fasten in the back. However, most day I never fasten it right (miss hooks, misalign hooks). I think the last time I bought bras was at least 3 years ago, so I'm clearly not the person you should ever come to for bra advice.
I fasten in the back, but I don't put my breasts in the cups right away. I guess I put it around my waist/ribs and fasten in the back, bend at the waist to help scoop/swoop them into the cups. I'm a 34F.
