I'm not sure if I'm an outlier or a contrarian but I'm over everyone loving fall. It just means it's about to be freezing for months. I do like pumpkin spice stuff though, although not the PSL so much.
I'm not big on fall because, like others said, it means winter is on it's way. It's kind of like Sunday night...it just means tomorrow is Monday.
Now spring time....that's a season I can get into. Going outside in just a shirt and jeans vs layer after layer of clothing for 6 months . Your nose doesn't freeze in the spring, you don't have to shovel or deal with shitty roads. Things come alive again and I love lilacs and apple blossoms.
Which I'm fairly certain lead to my obsession with it. However I'm not pumpkin spice all the things. I just want Fall weather and clothing and activities. Layers!
I hate fall. Everything is dying, it gets dark earlier, winter is right behind it, etc. I don't like pumpkin spice or scented candles or chilly mornings.

Most of my students are not white and love fall. Granted they are little kids and love hay rides, jumping in leaf piles and Halloween because they are little kids and what's not to love? We go to a Fall Fest every year and the crowd is pretty diverse, but I suspect again it is mostly parents entertaining their kids.
My least favorite weather is when it's all sunny and gorgeous and then you go outside and it's like 55 degrees and you need a jacket and sweater, and even then I'm cold. Hate it. I guess I'm a fall weather hater.
I like my 'September summer' when I can still go to the beach during the day but the nights cool off. I also like real summer and late spring. I need to move to California but think I would get bored with it being that weather all of the time.
