I think I would really enjoy fall if it wasn't followed by winter. As it is, I don't get the excitement.
Go walk in Prospect Park on the third Tuesday afternoon of October with a salted hot chocolate from Dizzy's. You'll get it.
Sorry, honey. It's lost on me. I'll do it for you, but the whole time I will be planning my hibernation. Do you remember how much snow we got the third week in October two years ago? It was horrid.
Most of my students are not white and love fall. Granted they are little kids and love hay rides, jumping in leaf piles and Halloween because they are little kids and what's not to love?
I'm an adult an these are still some of my favorite things
My black ass loves fall. Do you people have any idea how good I look in riding boots and flannel? In a chunky sweater and ankle boots? What that cooler, drier air does for my giant mane of curls? How the harvest sunlight and the warm color palettes play off of my rich skin tone, which has been deepened from a pale gold to a sultry bronze by the summer sun? In the fall, my head is lodged firmly up my own ass, and it smells like pumpkin.
Actually I think I would like Fall less if I lived in a colder climate. What's so special about it if not relief from the oppressive heat of Summer and being able to finally get outside.
It's the leaves. Their beauty is arresting. If you're lucky enough to see an orange tree? .:swoon:. I could walk around all day like a damn fool just staring at the trees. Other stuff too, but mostly the leaves.
I love fall. One of the main reasons is because I look better in long pants and sweaters or layers. No one wants to see my chunky legs in shorts in the summer time.
Plus the weather is beautiful which means open windows and cheaper electric bills with no a/c. It also means the holidays are right around the corner!
Love fall. Love pumpkin everything, love the smell of bonfires, love cozy sweaters and boots. I live in the central VA in the Blue Ridge so it is GORGEOUS.
Definitely on the hate-winter bandwagon though. I'm originally from WI, so I'm winter traumatized.

Fall is the best part about living in New England. It might be the only reason I still live here. If one has never experienced it they should plan a long weekend visit over Columbus Day.
I am not a fan of fall, because I'm a Minnesotan and fall means winter is coming and winter in Minnesota sucks giant donkey balls.
Come here, come to California. I spent my formative years in San Diego. I enjoy fall and winter in SD, but LOVED it when I lived in NC and GA. My husband thinks below 60 is cold. Like, really. Winter in CA... lol. I also spent many winters in the PNW and Germany. Quite different from So Cal fall and winter.

White girl from SoCal, but now living in the PNW. I didn't have an opinion about Fall before I lived in WA, because we didn't really have it in SoCal. Now that I live somewhere there is a Fall, I hate it. It just tells me that the best season is over, and the worst one is on it's way. Seriously, we won't see the sun for 6 or so months. The only good things about Fall are being able to wear sweaters and not having to keep my legs shaved.

I have three words for you that make fall awesome even without the glorious weather, beautiful leaves, and awesome outfit potential. (And they're not "pumpkin spice latte.")
I love fall because I grew up in Vegas where it's only a myth. Autumn in Colorado does not disappoint.
YES. You know my pain. Weather is the #1 reason why we're trying to move to the east coast. lol
The only place in this entire city to see anything resembling fall is at UNLV. There's a small courtyard year the parking garage with trees that loses golden leaves around November and it's magical. My friends used to give me shit for running through the leaf piles, but forget them.

I loathe fall because winter. And I live in the oppressive heat of Southern California. The pumpkin flavored crap is even worse. It doesn't even taste like pumpkin!!
It was 100 degrees today, my fatass wore shorts and flip flops and I cried tears of happiness (slightly exaggerated) that I didn't have to wear boots and sweaters.
Plus also fall = the beginning of cold and flu season and eff that shit. Eff it all.

I KNOW THOSE TREES! Lol. When I moved, I was deciding between Massachusetts and Colorado based in large part on the existence of autumn. I ultimately choose Colorado because I figured my thin, desert blood wouldn't survive a Bostonian winter.
