YES. You know my pain. Weather is the #1 reason why we're trying to move to the east coast. lol
The only place in this entire city to see anything resembling fall is at UNLV. There's a small courtyard year the parking garage with trees that loses golden leaves around November and it's magical. My friends used to give me shit for running through the leaf piles, but forget them.
I KNOW THOSE TREES! Lol. When I moved, I was deciding between Massachusetts and Colorado based in large part on the existence of autumn. I ultimately choose Colorado because I figured my thin, desert blood wouldn't survive a Bostonian winter.
Lmao. The ones near Cottage Grove and Ham Hall? hahaha
White girl from SoCal, but now living in the PNW. I didn't have an opinion about Fall before I lived in WA, because we didn't really have it in SoCal. Now that I live somewhere there is a Fall, I hate it. It just tells me that the best season is over, and the worst one is on it's way. Seriously, we won't see the sun for 6 or so months. The only good things about Fall are being able to wear sweaters and not having to keep my legs shaved.
Yeah, it's like "Oh great. Rain for 8 months. Awesome." I mean, it's pretty when the leaves change and I like wearing boots but come on. Summer is the best.
And the gray! It may be an urban myth, but I think we've all heard about how the suicide rate in PNW is the highest in the country, and now that I live up here, I understand why. I mean, I don't want to hurt myself, but I've been tempted to hurt others in the area.

After the summer we just had, I beg to differ My parents said their city in India is cooler, lol.
Football. The return of big sweaters. Not sweating the second you leave the house. The humidity finally breaks. It's not really an obsession with fall. It's an obsession with comfort. And football.
Then again I'll admit I grew up in New England so part of me gets super nostalgic and little kid giddy about changing leaves, apple cider, pumpkin carving etc. Fall is just a gorgeous season there and I miss it.

I hate fall. I live in Connecticut, but I have 41 trees and only 3 of the suckers are evergreen. The rest of them are dropping leaves already and laughing at me. Ugh. Here's to raking and leaf-blowing every weekend.

Fall has been my favorite since I was a kid. Back to school and the tobacco barns smoking meant fall was on its way. I love the colors, smells, and cool damp nights. I love being able to open the windows and have a breeze.
I love the idea of fall. Changing leaves, comfy sweaters, boots, outdoor activities, not being hot all the freaking time. It all sounds glorious. However, I live in Texas. Fall doesn't exist. It stays 90 degrees until November and then gets cold and rainy. No Fall. No Spring. Just endless summer followed by winter. Why do I live here again?
