I know I'll get asked for a list by multiple relatives very soon. My mom has already asked, lol.
So...what age is your kid? What are you putting on his/her list? What have you already bought?
C is 2...she'll be 3.5 months shy of 3 at Christmas.
I have already bought the plush characters from Room on the Broom because I knew it would take a long time hunt them down at a reasonable price. I bought the Magnatiles on sale at Target and the Hape Mixer/M & D fishing game when they were on sale at Amazon.
Things on her list include: a dress up wardrobe, dress up clothes, Inside Out, a couple of games, and a scooter.
NOT TOO SOON! Trees go up in 2 months from today, YAY!!! Kid is in utero and may or may not be here. Getting registry essentials . Happy first Christmas, Santa brought you breast pads! There are some personalized PBK stuff I'll order after birth but that will probably be after Christmas.
We are asking our parents for $ towards a computer instead of buying the kids toys. My parents will be all for it, but MIL loves buying toys. We'll see how it goes!
The older two just had birthdays so they haven't brought up Christmas yet. I'm curious whether the older two will believe this year. DD1 is 9. It must be coming, right?

OMG....DD loved room on a broom. She would flip for the characters. Thanks for the idea for her wish list.
I feel like everything I can think of would be better as a birthday gift in spring (wagon, water table, little pool or sprinkler). Can I put a Lillebaby carrier on his list since he's the one who would be in it?

Check Ebay too - some of the prices are ridiculous!
We forwent the tent last year we thought we would get her, so probably the tent this year. I have a ton of books I would like to get her and some accessories for her red wagon. That's all I got so far. She loves Peppa Pig so maybe some of that.
ETA: This thread was good timing. I had some Amazon gc's so I started Christmas shopping already

DS will be almost 3 this year. This is the first Christmas we will really buy him anything. Last year he got a Magnadoodle and some Little People, and we were tapped out.
I think we are getting him a Cranky to go with his Thomas trains and possibly the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse little people set. And then some books to finish up.

We'd like to stress experiences over toys. He has SO MANY TOYS. I think I also need to set a size limit on my brother's gifts. Must fit in a standard office paper box.
I think for DS we will renew his Citrus Lane. He's too little to care yet and we all really enjoyed the packages. I bought it him some Hot Wheels on super sale at the grocery store (lol) I have stashed away.
I'd also like to get him a sleeping bag because I got sister one.
I don't really know for him but he'll be 22 months at Christmas. Whatever is fine. Lots of books as well.
DD I really don't know. She's 4 and she's just into being outside. I did get her a Barbie on sale, a sleeping bag for a $7.00 steal at TJMAXX, some clothes I've been saving and new underwear for her stocking. I'd like to find some more independent play stuff that's not babyish for her but I don't have to help with either. Whatever that is, I don't know.
Basically after Halloween I'll just buy them all the cute stuff I see from then until Christmas. As will all our relatives. They'll have fun, get a ton of cool stuff and we'll all be happy, so I try not to get too worried about it.

DS (8) has already requested an XBox for his birthday/Christmas. He is planning his birthday party around it as if there's no possible way he won't get it. Uh, OK.
This is where my freak will show! I always buy ahead when I find sales. The kids are 3 and 17 mos now.
So far for the girls I have purhased: 2 Corolle classique dolls Little people Farm Little people alphabet zoo Cabbage patch twins with stroller Elmo imagine talking/singing doll Mega blocks
For J I have purchased: 3 different small matching/memory games Disney princess candy land Busytown bd game Ukelele Henry and a Percy battery operated train (Yay for A.C. Moore 55% off coupons!) A minnie mouse golf set he wanted that was on clearance at Walgreens B. Art Easel B. DR kit Toy cash register
I also have about 15 books I bought during the amazon sale a few months ago or at the dollar store.
Last year I bought a plasma car on sale and still have it in the basement. I cAnt decide if I should give it to them or sell it.
I know I'm getting J a duplo set of some sort. He said he wants a farm one. And I'm getting the girls doll accessories like bottles, clothes, and diapers. And I'll probably get some art supplies.
Eta: I got the Little People sets on a local BST board for $40. So I was really happy with that. The alphabet zoo is almost $80 new!!

I have not given it any thought beyond that.
So you feel my pain.
A ridiculous list of extravagant expensive stuff.
And you ask them to put some more realistic ideas on it. And it's more fucking extravagant expensive stuff. Wtf kids!
Yup, though only DS is like this. DD doesn't ask for expensive stuff, just makeup, sparkly clothes and other shit that I also don't want to buy.

DS will be 2 and so far we think we are getting him some Paw Patrol cars/characters, *possibly* a Lil Quad, and a Dr kit. I will be looking for sales on all of it. We will also get him some Xmas jammies.
DS will be 21 months at Christmas. I want to get him a play kitchen, so that and some food/dishes. I've already bought a Hape toolset and Magnatiles (but I might wait until his birthday in March for those).
Well I just added the wand mentioned above, but I've been updating his Amazon wish list since we're less than 2 months from his birthday
-Cozy Coupe Trailer & Gas Pump -Green Toys School Bus -John Deere Tractor model -pretend weed whacker -pretend leaf blower -Toy Dyson DC14 (to replace his current vacuum) -puzzles
I don't do any Christmas stuff until December 1. I love the hustle & bustle of the season!
I do keep a running Amazon list for her, so I will edit that before people start asking. I'd love some more Little People sets and I can't get enough books! I think we are going to wait on Bitty Baby until her 2nd birthday.
Not sure what else. He's a Batman freak right now. So maybe some dress up stuff to go with his mask.
Yes! I remember you talking about Magnatiles for your child three or four years ago! :-)
Not sure yet on gifts (have to get past DD2's upcoming birthday first).... but I did already get tickets for DD1 and me to see the Nutcracker in December. I can't wait to make it a recurring thing with both of them!
We still have a birthday to get through before Christmas, and that will be hard enough.
The only thing my soon-to-be-4 year old wants is a Doc McStuffins dr. kit that we saw at JC Penney's a couple weeks ago. She'll get that for her birthday, but I need to think of ideas for the rest of the family to get her too, and I'm stumped.
For Christmas, my 7 year old is hinting about a gaming system. He talks about Wii U a lot, but if we're going to upgrade our 10 year old Wii, I'm sure he'd prefer a system that could come with Minecraft. Aaaaand, I'm not sure we want to spend that much anyway.
DS will be 6 months and my brother already asked what he wants. I was like uh, nothing? I wasn't really planning on getting him anything. Maybe a nice stocking.
I've been working on the Amazon wishlist lately. His 1st birthday is in 2 weeks (OMG!!), and I imagine that interests will be similar for Christmas.
We have on the list: - Balls (around tennis ball size) - Water table (I am going to fill this with balls, inside, for winter) - Kitchen stuff - B Parum pum pum drum - PJs - Comfy kids chair for the LR - Washable Art supplies - Indoor play structure - Kids broom and vacuum - B. Wheee-Is cars - Mega blocks - Covered sand box - Ball pit and set - EZPZ mat
I think this year will be really fun. He has a ton of baby toys, but he's just getting into bigger toys, and has definite interests. He loves balls, cars, kitchen stuff, and climbing. I'm hoping for some good, active toys that we can use indoors through the winter.
We are already done with DDs Christmas toys. She will be 20 months and we bought a bike without pedals and some Duplo blocks. She will also get pajamas and maybe some new clothes from us.
