We do one gift for each kid plus stockings.
DD is getting a bead maze that I bought from the Amazon toy sale last week.
For DS, I'm debating between Magnatiles, a tablet, and dress-up clothes. He'll likely get 2/3 of these things, one for his birthday in December as well.
DD will be 5. Birthday and Christmas are back to back so I have to start planning.
She wants American Girl doll everything, a camera, Legos, barbies, a Barbie dream house, a magic wand, craft kits.
She's getting a bed for Julie and an outfit (AG stuff), Julie's vanity, doll desk, Legos, books, a few board games, craft kits, fashion plates, a science kit, a camera, and a razor scooter. This will be divided for birthday/Christmas.
DS will be 6 months and my brother already asked what he wants. I was like uh, nothing? I wasn't really planning on getting him anything. Maybe a nice stocking.
Ha, this is me too for DD, she'll be 5 months and needs nothing. MIL says she's already started shopping. Omg. I'm thinking a stocking and ornament, maybe some holiday pjs, though I'm sure MIL has that covered too. Maybe I'll just tell people she wants diapers and wipes for Christmas!
I've finished dd1. I have no idea what I've bought her but I know I'm done. Her big present is a large kidkraft dollhouse. I will actually need to snag a few barbies for her also.
dd2- no freaking idea. What do I get for a baby who needs nothing? DD1 will notice if she doesn't get anything so I have to get her a few items.
Hmm I need to get V that balance bike for his birthday.
He will be almost 2.5. This is the last year I suspect he won't really "get" Christmas and I think we are going to exploit that. Plus I have no clue what's on the list. Maybe I will ask the 2s-3s teachers what he likes to play with. I don't think I'm going to pay $40 for a Blue's Clues beanie baby.
I told everyone else books, puzzles, supplies for the table.
He will be 23 months at Christmas and his birthday is at the end of January. For that we're getting him a kitchen and I told everyone that they can get the stuff for it.
DD's 3rd birthday is in 3 weeks, so I'm thinking about gifts for that first, but on the list is:
MoR membership Children Museum membership (?) Dress up clothes (maybe a wardrobe for it too?) Doll house Barbies (yeaah, yeah, i know everyone here is anti-Barbie, but whatevs) Tractors Board Games Play doh stuff More stuff for her kitchen Cash register Lincoln Logs <-- so much fun!
I'm sure I'll think of a million things more and will have toys coming out of our ears.
I admire people who can buy stuff all year and not give it to them right away. I bought DD a purse a couple weeks ago and wanted to hang onto it until her birthday, but that lasted 5 minutes.

I can't prebuy much either. I have no will power and can't be trusted.

So far, I have gotten DS (2) the Hape garage, a V-Tech SmartWheels track, and remote control Thomas the Train. I would like to get him a ride-on toy as well, but I just put it on his Amazon wishlist so someone else can get it because I am short on ideas, and family always asks.
DD (4) asks for American Girl stuff, so we will probably get her some accessories for her doll. She got the school desk for her birthday from a generous uncle and really likes it, so perhaps something to go with that. Otherwise, I have no idea--she is tough right now.
I am debating getting them a PowerWheel (or cheaper version) as a joint gift as well.

I need to focus on her 2nd birthday next month! We are getting a play kitchen for her. I will think about Christmas after that but summer backyard games/toys are a possibility.

Haven't really thought about it. We only do stocking suffers and one bigger present from Santa. They get sooooo much stuff from our families, it's crazy!
DS1 will be 5 - likely a lego set DS2 will be almost 3.5 - maybe some legos also, not sure. DD will be 4 months - probably some small newborn ish toy. She actually do east gave that much stuff since I did a lot of toy purging of they boys baby toys.

E will be 10 months. We bought a couple toys during the Prime Days sale thing. I probably won't have to buy much because I'm sure my parents will be everything under the sun for him, haha. We will probably ask for books and some random toys, probably some stuff for the yard. Stuff like a kiddie pool or something for summer. I will have to look and start getting ideas!
I just added the Little People Farm, the Cozy Coupe and the Dyson vacuum to his wish list, thanks to this thread. They are all kind of inappropriate for a nine-month-old, but I'm sure he'll use them relatively soon after. I also want him to have more books with girls and kids of other races as main characters, so I added some of those too. I plan to go nuts at Christmas even though there's no point since he has no idea what's going on. This is the fun of parenthood! I won't spend a ton, but he'll have several things under the tree.
DS turns 4 on 12/22. Currently in the closet to be split between Christmas/birthday (I'm done buying!):
More trains/tracks from Thomas the Train (though I may give these as bribery for behavior if things continue on their current path) Books Art easel/paper Zoob Jr. set Magformers Marble Run Games for his Leap Pad (I have $90 in credits waiting to be spent)
What I'll tell others:
$ for his 529 Lego Jr./Duplo (opinions on which is better? He has some Duplos now) Experience gifts-day at the zoo, trip to a play, etc. Books, books, books Trucks/cars/whatever...he loves Take Apart trucks Board games
