Public schools are more limited on their use of buses. The trips have to be affordable to each student. That gives the school less options for trips. We have to pay an amount to cover the bus and driver cost. I think it was $15 per student plus the trip itself.
Last year she went on three with her normal class. She went on two with her gifted class and we had to provide transportation.
This year it will be one in the first half and one in the second half.

2 or 3 depending on the size. They are doing 2 this year in 5th grade. One is to a 2 night camp as a science thing, and 1 is to the aquarium 1 state away. Last year had 1 big trip and 1 small one; previous years had 3 small ones
1st: 2 (planetarium, science lab) 2nd-5th: 3 (planetarium, science lab, 2nd is Children's village, 3rd is Baltimore, and I'm not sure on 4. 5th graders get a week at outdoor camp. Overnight! Those brave teachers)

Kindergarten and 1st grade he had one field trip a year. I think there might be 2 or 3 in second grade though (I know our school sends second graders to children's theatre productions).

in K they have a lot more than the other grades, and I don't think there's 6 for the whole year. The other classes have 2. We haven't gotten the schedule for this year yet though so I can't say for certain it will be the same
