I hearby declare 11 pm CT the MOTN.
Wake up #3 or 4, I lost count of the early evening "wake ups" which might be more accurately be classified as trouble going down. She just took a 4 oz bottle, which is a big bottle for her.
We're trying the Merlin Magic Sleepsuit. DD was like "WTF guys" when I put her in it.
I am about to bust open a dental catalog and put together an order of stuff. And then tomorrow I have to email the rep to get haggle out his "best pricing." Except for the email, this feels like it's so 1985 and this is a giant publicly traded corporation so it's not like some small time operation that can't afford an amazing website to skip the stupid rep. Time to get with the picture people, I have been taking most of my business to another company where I don't have to wait until business hours to contact a rep, I can order stuff online in the MOTN and see my past order history really fast and I don't have to haggle!
DH took Stella downstairs from 8:30 till now just bringing her up for feedings so I ended up getting three hourish long stretches of sleep. He is now going to bed and we just wrapped up a feeding and she's on my chest. I am hoping she goes into a deep sleep and I can get her in the bassinet, I think her sleeping on my is not helping my neck pain situation.

DD was super fussy and fighting sleep hard. Got her to sleep by me holding her around 8pm. DH and I took turns holding her while we caught up on a little tv and I took a shower and got ready for bed. We transfered her a few mins ago, but it's coming up on 3 hours since she's eaten. So I feel like it's a waste for me to try yo go to sleep now.
I also am worried it's gonna be a long night since she seems to wanted to have "bedtime" at 8pm. That's pretty early for a 4 week old. Usually it's more like 930 or 10pm.

I'm joining you all. DS2 Is 2 days old. We were discharged from the hospital this morning. My first wake up tonight was just an epic fail. DS has such horrible gas from my milk coming in this morning and the pains keep waking him tonight.
I had been asleep for 1h 15m when he freaked out. I am so over-tired I started shaking unstoppably because I was freezing. I managed to get pants and a sweater on over my nursing gown while begging DH to find me a blanket and my robe. DS is screaming bloody murder and our room literally STINKS from his gas. I just checked his diaper too; all gas, no poop. It is just rank smelling.
I finally have him nursing again... And I'm not as disoriented. But yikes. That was intense. I forgot how crazy MOTN can get.
::waves hi:: I'll be seeing you all around. Happy waking...
He was 7'11 at birth and will be 4 weeks on Saturday! I can't believe they are already that old. Nathan is so cute!
Now you have me wondering how much he weighs now! Â And yes, I can't believe it. I'm actually anxious to get the first 2-4 months done, but of course I'll regret it when I blink and my [LAST] baby is grown. Â womp womp.
Neither DH or I are sure that Luke is our last so I'm in this weird spot of soaking it all up and also "but we may still have another sooo..."
Weigh him and find out! DS1 was kind of a peanut at first and I was an overly paranoid ftm so I bought a baby scale when he was little, which means I weigh L like every other day just for fun. ....I need to get out more.
Wake up #1 here. I hope he goes back down and stays down. He's been off these past couple of nights.
awkwardpenguin - Your DD is so cute! I love babies in the sleep suit. They look so ridiculous. Did you get a cotton or fleece one?
And since we're posting pics of our part Asian babies, here's mine:
He's a cutie!
I think the suit has the side effect of making them make ridiculous faces, so you have that to look forward to. We got a cotton one, which seems the right weight. It's pretty thick and warm looking.

I fell asleep and got woken up by DD just now at about 1115pm. So of course she did a super long stretch after eating last at 7pm.
Baby girl - 7-11pm isn't very helpful to me in getting rest!
So now I'm nursing her and hoping she goes back down easily and I get any sort of decent sleep the rest of the night. I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of bedsharing tonight.

Wake up # whatever done. She went back down pretty easily. Now I shall sleep!
turtlegirl, I hear ya on the non-helpful sleep intervals. My wife just goes to sleep super early to get as much sleep as possible. I'm more of a night owl and can't sleep that early.

Wakeup one. We have DS2'S 2 month appointment tomorrow. A bit early (5 days) but he needs his 2nd HEP b shot. I think he is hooch m going to be over 13lbs. He read 12.8lbs last week. At this rate he will double his birth weight be 2 months (born at 7.7)..
Speaking of disorienting wakeups. I woke up to what I thought was a baby hand on my face. I was confused and panicked about how the baby got in my bed. But it turned out to be my cat. It was her paw pad so I didn't feel fur.
We are up! Weirdly I have figured out that Stella prefers football hold when eating at night. So random right?
If I can get her to sleep on the bassinet after this I will be so excited. She was sleeping on me before but I am at that point of postpartum where you wake up drenched in sweat and I would love to hot have a little ball of heat sleeping on me.

DS is up! I forgot on days im home he needs a bottle in the evening.im not usually off on Wednesdays and I guess I like to think my supply is enough. Oh well. DH and I are going OOT fri so I'll take the extra cuddles.
namasteak - get the banana. Last night when j couldn't sleep I finally got a bowl of cereal. I went to sleep fairly quickly after that.
Our first stretch of sleep tonight was 4 hours! It took her a awhile to go down though. She's been cluster feeding from about 6 till 11 the last two nights. Growth spurt maybe? Who knows.
I have to be a functioning human early tomorrow morning (early for ML anyway). DH has to leave the house For a meeting and it's earlier than he can drop off DS, so I have to get up and dressed to take him. Yippee. :/
DD was asleep in the bassinet and she got hiccups 5 mins later that woke her up. So now she's feeding again an hour after the last feed. She hiccuped for the first 5 mins of eating.

Ds2 has kept me awake since 3:07am. I wish I'd noticed at that time that he'd pooped because that would explain why it took so long to get him back to sleep, and why he was crying again at 5am after sleeping only 45mins. His already sore bum is now quite bright red and horrible looking so I doubt very much he'll be going back to sleep anytime soon (it's now 5:40). Ds1 gets up at 6:30 so that's awesome.
What is wrong with me? I can't fall back asleep after the first wake up anymore. I laid in bed for two hours before dozing off. Of course DS woke up shortly after I fInally fell back asleep. My mind just races with the most inane shit. But then I'm a zombie during the day.
Thankfully after my panicked post, DD stayed asleep after the 4th nursing session around 11:30 and just woke now at 4:30. But guys she is AWAKE. like chattering and whatnot. I put her down and walked away. Need to pump the right side. awkwardpenguin so cute. Did she sleep better?
