1st pregnancy- made H go look at the test in the bathroom bc I was too nervous. He reported it was negative because the second line wasn't as dark as the other. I almost had a heart attack when I saw two lines plain as day. That wound up a chemical pregnancy.
2nd pregnancy- took a test the day after our anniversary because I had just finished a weird "period" and was getting positive ovulation sticks. H was taking an important test for work so I put my pee stick (digital, this time!) in a ziplock and then into a gift bag for H to open. When H got home there was a note that said "I hope you did as well on your test as I did on mine" with a gift bag I said was an anniversary present. He was floored. That ended up being an ectopic.
3rd pregnancy (DD)- I peed on a wondfo and then forgot about it. Just as H was getting ready to leave, I remembered I took the test and saw it was positive. H walked in the bathroom and kissed me goodbye while I was holding the positive test. I didn't say anything because we would both have been later or work and I didn't want to rush the moment. H had no clue. I took several more tests at work to confirm. When H got home that night, he asked me if I wanted sandwiches or sushi for dinner and I burst into tears and said neither, because I was pregnant.
I took a test while H was at work and even though I hate the term prego saw we had some Prego in the pantry, I put it in a gift bag and shoved it to him when he got home from work. He didn't believe me that I was at the point of my cycle that I could be testing yet and a wondfo didn't convince him so we went out for pizza and to Target to buy digitals which convinced him.
Ds1 he was at the gym and I told him as soon as he opened the door.
This time I called him crying and panicking at 6:30 am at work. We weren't really trying and had planned to wait a few more months bc we were moving etc. Luckily he was happy and reassured me it would all work out.

He was sleeping when I took the test, so when he woke up I had a onesie I had made hanging in the front of the closet and handed him the pee stick. He was all flustered and said "congratulations!" Which I still make fun of him for.
I tested when his cousin was visiting for the night, so I told him when we got in bed. He didn't believe me until FOUR days later when we got a digital.
I dipped the pee stick, set it on the counter, set a timer. Laid in bed together until it rang. Went to view it together. Felt shocked, terrified, and agreed to try not to get excited (as if that is a thing). Because It was IVF number 2 after 2 losses and many failed cycles.
I took the test while J was still sleeping, and woke him up with a coffee cup in one hand and the test in the other. He was all "I'm not ready for coffee yet, just put it on the bedside table." My response was "okay, but I can't put this there. It's got pee on it." It took a solid 30 seconds for him to wake up enough to figure out what I was holding and what it meant.
We were TTC both times, and I was over a week late both times. So I POAS, came out of the bathroom to wait, and we both went back in to see the results. I used a digital so it was super clear. First time our reaction was "YES, FINALLY!" b/c it took us 18 months to conceive DS. Second time was "already, really?" b/c we conceived the first month TTC, and neither of us were fully ready to have another child.
H was taking a nap on the couch. I announced I was going to get a pregnancy test (after this board's encouragement). Came home, took it, had this conversation:
Me: I think that's a line! Do you see a line?? H: Is that a line or a shadow? Me: a line is a line. H: I don't know... Me: Do you see a fucking line or not??? H: ...
With DD1, I threw a pregnancy test at him. With DD2, I came out of the bathroom of Target with a look on my face that was half happy and half exasperated. He said, "You peed on a stick in the Target bathroom, didn't you? Fancy. That's a story to tell the kids."

I had felt off the night before when I went out to eat and drink with friends so I bought a couple of dollar ones from dollar tree. I had two pee sticks (one from Dollar tree and the digital I ran out to buy after the first was positive) on the bathroom counter. I had texted him to see what time he would be home from work and let him find them when he went to use the restroom. He walked out holding them and asking me if I had something to tell him.
He was on his way out of town for work (day trip) and I called him. I said "the toilet over flowed, the bathtub won't drain, and I took 2 pg tests and 1 is positive and 1 is negative so I may or may not be pregnant. "
We had two miscarriages before so he knew I would be testing at some point. Took another test the next morning and it was positive.

Kind of the same both times...blurted "I'm pregnant" when he walked in the door from work that day. Very clever.
With my second pregnancy, he was the one who told me to take a test (I thought it was too early) b/c I was nauseous. So, after a weekend of him telling me to get a test, I went out on a Monday and grabbed one. I think when he got home, I just said "I took that test" and he said "Told ya!"
Haha! He knew I had a doctor's appointment (for something unrelated). He also knew my period was late, but I swore up and down that it was just because I had just had extensive dental work done and was also stressed at work. They made me take a test at the doctor, because I needed antibiotics and needed to know if I was pregnant to prescribe me the right thing.
He came home from work to me curled up on the couch, clutching a pillow, with tears in my eyes. He asked first about the reason I went in, which ended up being no big deal, and then said, "Well, you are either pregnant or dying, since you are crying."
I came out of the bathroom bawling my eyes out and managed to get out "I'm pregnant" between sobs. He wasn't sure how to react because he'd never seen me happy cry before.
Second time, tested at work on Thursday, saw a line. Used the whole day to process it for myself. Also, drink half a bottle of wine. Tested again in the morning and told him when he got out of the shower.
Me: Hey honey, I'm pregnant. H: I knew you could do it!
I walked out of the bathroom and handed him the test.
This. Both times. The first time he though I was showing him a positive ovulation test again and got excited for more sex (even though I just showed him the positive ovulation test like 2 weeks before..). The second time he just shook his head and rolled his eyes since neither of us were really expecting it. Lol.
I didn't tell him I was testing, but we had come back from vacation, I still had no period and was about to start taking clomid so I had to test first. I was expecting another negative, and to my surprise it was positive! I went downstairs with the stick and was shaking and said, "guess what? I'm pregnant!" He was totally caught off guard and said "omg, are you sure? Maybe take another just to be sure", so I did and it was also positive. He got really excited and said he was so happy and we just hugged for awhile. I was in tears.

Ds1 we were in the keys on vaca. I knew I was even though I was testing negative. I made Dh stop at a Walgreens on the way up to key largo and tested with an frer when we got to the hotel. Yup.
Ds2 I tested early in the morning and had ds1 give it to Dh when he got up.
The third time when he came home from work I told him about how I had taken a wondfo earlier that afternoon at like 7dpo and thought I saw a line. I showed it to him and he saw it too. So then I peed on all the things. They were all clearly positive then. That should have been the first inclination it was twins. I shouldn't have had a positive test so early!! But us confirmed the dates.
Yeah this was me too! Took the test at 10DPO an had a pretty clear line and also got a positive when I took a digital test.
I basically called DH into the bathroom and showed him all the tests, but he had just woken up so didn't get as big of a reaction as I had hoped for.
#1-I took a photo of the FRER stick with my dslr. After my H came home from work, I told him I wanted to show him some pics I recently took on a biz trip in Paris because I was thinking of getting prints. They were very crappy pics and he was scrolling through and saw the FRER but he thought it was a positive opk since I may have texted him tons of pics to show I was ovulating. So I told him what it was and he was thrilled. We went to the movies and grinned like idiots the whole time.
#2-(surprise baby)- I made a sign that said "I am going to be a big sister in Jan 2016!" and I asked him to come to the bedroom after dinner. DD handed him the sign and he said, "What?? Noooooo" lol. I asked him if he was upset and he said he was thrilled but so so surprised since it took us 6+ months, pre-seed, temping, opks, pom juice, the whole she-bang the first time.

First time - we had been trying for 15 cycles and were on IUI 4 which was actually a cancelled IVF that doctor said gave us no hope. For some reason I felt pg so I tested on a wondfo then posted on tttc. The next morning (Father's day) I poa digital and handed it to him, saying "Happy Father's day!"
this time - I had already poa 1million sticks. I used a digital and gave it to dd to hand to him as he walked in the door from golf. He totally didn't realize what it was at first.
with DS1, we'd been trying for a while (got pg on cycle 16). When we first started TTC, I had made a onesie that said 'Practically Perfect' as we used to say that when we were first dating. When I got the BFP, I first started crying, then I went and pulled out the onesie and put it on DH's chest (he was still in bed). He looked at it and then looked at me, and said 'what is this?!'
with DS2, I tested in the evening. I think DH was in our bedroom, and I shouted 'hey, what are your plans for next January?' He said he couldn't think that far in advance, so I told him he had better get used to it since we would have a baby coming then.
#1 - I took a test by myself in a hotel room. I was traveling for work and getting ready for a boozy dinner and wanted to be sure I wasn't pregnant. I was! And I had like 12 hours of having the news all to myself. When I got home the next afternoon, DH was actually on a ladder hanging Christmas lights and I told him that he better get down. Once I told him, he got right back on the ladder lol.
#2 - We were together and both looked at the test at the same time. It was a great moment.
#3 - DH was traveling for work and it was a total shock. I told my BFF and Delta's reservations office, lol, to see if we could postpone and international trip we had already booked, before I told DH. I told him on skype that night. Third kid and all lol.
