Kids were both up at 6. DH left for the gym at 5:30. I have coffee though.
DS is doing way better in terms of crying/pain I think but still struggling to sleep well at night. That could still be the 4 month wakeful I imagine. Does it just go away or do I have to train him?
I woke up early because our neighbor's dog was barking and I can't get back to sleep. When I get sad about moving, I'll think about the annoying dog and maybe that will help. Packing all weekend! Movers come Monday. I'm so nervous and excited and sad.
We're at the beach! We got in last night and E was disappointed we couldn't see the beach then. So after breakfast we'll head down so she can run and play.
Then DH gets in this afternoon and I think we'll go get a few things for the house during nap time.
I stayed up until midnight to book my fastpasses....yeah, I got it wrong somehow and my window doesn't open until TODAY at midnight. I am a dummy. At least I can nap today
I am treating myself to a very (overly) expensive massage today as a reward for surviving the MOTN wakings for the past few months. DS may actually be a worse sleeper than DD, plus he weighs almost 18 lbs. My back and arms hurt from the way I hold him in the MOTN.
And why the overly expensive massage instead of a normally expensive massage? Because I am too lazy to call anyplace to book one, so I'm going with the one that lets me book online. The ability to book online instead of calling is also why I get my hair cut at the same place despite not actually being in love with my stylist.
Only thing on the docket today is speech therapy. It's through the public school and it's free so I should be grateful, but I'm so over it, the therapist is so BEC for me. She's cancelled 3 out of the 7 appointments we've had. The appointment time is awful for us (11am on Fridays), it's right in the middle of poor DD's morning nap so she's cranky all morning. It's too early in the day to do something before, and too late in the day to do something afterwards. So our whole day revolves around this single 30 minute appointment. I don't think it helping DS very much either. Two weeks ago she said she was teaching the "T" sound (teddy bear, tooth, turtle, etc) so she gave him Froot Loops "to learn the T sound." :-< Last week they colored and she told me to work on getting him to hold the marker correctly. I'm like, you're not an OT. You're supposed to be helping with his SPEECH. Blah.
I've been sleeping crappy all week. I was actually sleeping well at 3am when my 4yo DD woke me up to tell me that she thinks she has an ear infection. I checked for a fever (which she didn't have) and tucked her back into bed. This morning she is her normal happy self so I'm sure she is fine.
We are heading to Chicago this morning!!! I'm so excited for my brothers wedding! The forecast looks great, and I'm so glad for that, as the cocktail hour is in gardens and the reception is at an outdoor pavilion. (They may still out space heaters out but they won't need to tent the sides.
Hopefully getting through security isn't a cluster. We'll have a stroller, 2 year old, 7 week old, and some bags. Eeeek!
It's a public school inservice day, so no busing for the private schools. DH dropped DD off and I hope it wasn't a total shit show. I may just walk up there to pick her up later instead of sitting in a pick up line.
Also, since DH is off his heavy pain killers and can drive, he's back to work today. I kind of feel bad for his crew, goodness knows I'd be showing up late and slacking if I thought the boss was still out. And instead he's going to be laying in wait, there an hour before anyone else on a Friday morning since he didn't tell anyone he'd be back today.
I know it would be too much to ask him to hang out one more day since he's technically able to work, but shit, the baby's sick and I'm am just fried on being a caretaker right now. I NEED to run or something. TGIF
sh10 ahh! Do you guys need anything? @mesbecky our library (Glenwood) is pretty sweet & I think there is a story time on Fridays- doesn't matter if you are in the county or not.. they don't check or anything.
Today is my first full day with both kids. I didn't wake E to eat last night, so she last nursed at 5:15- perfect timing so I could go back to sleep a little before L woke up, and now I've spent the last hour with just him and gotten him breakfast while she is still sleeping. Yay! Going to nurse her again soon & get packed up for the gym. I'm just going to bring L to play while I use the family shower while E chills in her car seat. Then just hang out at the gym so L can play longer. I'm going to reward myself for getting them both out of the house by 8:30 with Starbucks afterward. Yay!
Today I am on the hunt for size 3T denim overalls. DS2 wants to be a Minion for Halloween. I already tried Carters, Children's Place, Old Navy, Gap. I plan to go to Osh Kosh.
Pinterest told me that a DIY Minion costume was easy!?!
Neither kid slept well last night. It's also 100% chance of rain today. Not sure what we are going to do but I refuse to leave the house until they nap this morning to avoid a disaster outing

I found some online at target. Kohls also had a pair in store but I only saw fleece lined ones. They were $16-17 I think
I got a pumpkin donut at dunkin and it did not taste like pumpkin at all, just like a regular cake donut. Last night I bought some pumpkin nut bread at a fundraiser. Tasted just like bread. It's not hard people, get it together!!!
DH picked a fight with me at 6AM, after I was up half the night with our kid, and he slept. I bit my tongue so hard to not rip into him about the stuff I posted about earlier in the week. He was being so hypocritical in light of my knowledge and I broke down crying in the shower as he headed out the door. My OB/GYN appointment (STD test) is today. I am trying to get the appointment with the attorney changed to right after my test so that I can get this over with this weekend.
humpforfree, you are a rockstar!! Your day sounds great!
We are all set, my ILs are flying in tonight to help pack. FIL flies out Sunday and MIL is staying to drive out with C and me. I'm sorry we didn't get in one more GTG and I didn't get to meet E, maybe when our house sells we can come back and play.
Anyone know if you have to be present for closing?

DS was up at 6am. Yawn!
Ive moved our small climbing structure and cozy coupe from outside into our playroom. Which was a good move. DS has spent 2 hours playing in the playroom this morning, while i relaxed on the couch.
Roku finally has HBO now. Yippee!! Lots of tv in my future.

In early today; DH texted to have me call N out of school - they are having a boys day. AKA he stayed up late, doesn't want to go to work, and is looking for any excuse to not go.
I am hoping this means he will also cancel his plans to go hunting this weekend, because I am already sick of hunting season.
3 day weekend coming up, and daycare is open on Monday, yay!! I have grand plans to get a pedicure, have a boozy lunch at a mexican restaurant and then going to see The Martian.
My parents are coming for the weekend this afternoon through Sunday, so looking forward to having another set of hands!

Our 16 year old cat somehow dislocated her front leg at 5:45am and managed to pop it back in and is doing ok now but we thought for sure it was broken. H is going to leave work early to go home and check on her. And then as I am trying to get out the door with DS I grabbed his rain boots to find that a cat had peed on them. I am going to lose my mind. I am so over having pets right now.
