I have several non GBCN people on my facebook feed who post constantly about baby wearing. It is pretty odd to me. Like how baby wearing can become 80% of your social media identity unless you own a carrier company or something.
It's international baby wearing week. Maybe that's why? I try not to share stuff but there were massive giveaways happening and you had to share to get entry.
Of course, I haven't won shit. Because I never win shit. Lol.
Now to switch the closets around. DS' stuff needs to go in his new big boy room and switch out clothes for new sizes/seasons while I'm at it. And I need to move the baby stuff from the spare closet to the nursery. And probably let out a little squeal each time I take out tiny newborn items.

Thanks to that post earlier this week, I listed a bunch of random stuff on my local B/S/T FB group and have sold about $35 worth of stuff this week. The key I figured is to make sure that I only schedule to meet people at places or times when its convenient for me so I am not going totally out of my way for like $5. Yay for purging.
I've decided that 26.5 months is officially my favorite age. C is such a delight right now.
The transition to his big boy bed has been so smooth (knock on wood). This morning I could see him on the video monitor sitting up and listening for me, and then laying back down. Then he finally sat up and called for me, but didn't climb out of bed until I came into his room.
After getting dressed he asked to "play toys" in his room, so he played happily alone with Legos while I finished getting ready. When we were about 5 minutes out from having to leave, I called down to him to tell him it was time to clean up and HE DID IT ALL BY HIMSELF!

That's how I do it, I usually meet before or after working out. The gym is centrally located to most things in our area. We are purging because we are moving and DH is selling one tv to a friend. He told him we would take it to his house because they want to see DS before we go. No way DH, we have so much to do. Make people come to us.
Also, C's memory is insane. We were driving to daycare and all of a sudden he said, "Daddy beer." I was confused as to why, but thought it was funny. I mentioned it to H on the phone after drop-off and he asked where we were driving. Apparently we drove past the liquor store where H usually stops and C knew that's what it was. Ha.

So in short, ditto your post!
I have spent way too much time figuring out how to make the most of the b/s/t groups. I sold a bunch of DD's clothes for $5 for the entire lot and I also listed some of her nicer stuff at the same time and ended up finding a buyer who wanted all of it. That is always a huge bonus!
I would like to vent about my job's weekend work policy, but it's so convoluted I would lose you all. Suffice to say I'm working Sunday and basically have to beg people who have no connection to this project to work on Saturday with no kind of compensation--just general good will.
I'm having lots if feelings about my weight and nursing lately. I'm starting to feel like my weight is affecting my health. But I also know if I try to lose weight my supply will tank. For months I've been thinking I will nurse him through march (14 mo) and then focus on weight loss. But right now that seems so far away. But the idea of weaning him earlier makes me weepy. Ugh, why can't I be one of those people who melt fat while nursing??
DD refused to wear her shoes this morning so I took them with us to daycare. When we got there, I said "ok time to put your shoes on!" She said "no, Addysin do it!" So her little friend came over and put her shoes and socks on for her. Then put her hair clip in. I was simultaneously enchanted and embarrassed.
Crossfit with a bunch of coworkers at 11. It's women only, childcare included. We decided to form a group and work out together. I'm excited and a little scared because I haven't exercised in a year.
Cleaning crew coming today. Guess I need to tidy.
ILs coming in today too, for the sole purpose of helping DH learn to parent tomorrow when I'm at work. He'll be solo on Sunday.
I have been thinking of you mmmae123. I hope your appointments go as well as possible and that you are able to start to have the tough conversations soon

That poster was me! I'm glad you're making money, hooray! I really do love our BST board. Much much better than my local FB group, which is all old dirty toys that are somehow overpriced. I've gotten everything I've been looking for lately off our BST board super fast.

For sure I love our board! I have had a ton of luck unloading random toys on my local group and other things that I wouldn't want to ship. A lot of stuff that gets posted in the group is junk, so if you post anything that is name brand or in semi decent condition, you will likely sell them.
I got 7 solid hours of sleep for the first time in a couple of weeks. Yay! Still feel exhausted though, boo.
I think I need to accept that 7am is our new wake up time. It is 2 hours earlier than the past 6 months. I hate it. And she does my nap EVER so I really don't think she is getting enough sleep now. By bedtime she is exhausted and cranky.

I just picked up a barely used little tikes basketball hoop from my local group for free!
We now are on the deed to our house without a dead woman we never met. It was confirmed by our title insurance policy attorney today! Somehow, our house made it through two different buyers, before they figured out that a long dead woman was still on the deed. It has taken 6 months to get her heirs to sign off, and the county to record it correctly, but it is complete, as of today.
PSA: Always get an owners title policy, not just the one your mortgage company has. They cover a lot more than I thought, from easements you didn't know existed to dead women who haunt the courthouse, with 5 heirs. In our case, it was especially troubling because the house that the heirs owned was torn down, a new one built, so the value went up significantly, so had they fought, they could have ended up owning a house worth 3-4 times what they sold the original house for (though they likely would not have won, but it would have cost us a crap ton of money). With title insurance, they fight for you, including legal fees, and if they lose, they will pay you back at least your initial investment.
Squishy has now bitten at daycare twice now. Once was her sister, once another kid. Did I mention that there is only one other kid in their daycare class right now? (Weird temporary areangement). I'm so scared for her biting at the real daycare and getting kicked out. Also they notify me of it, which of course they're required to do, but I'm just like what the heck do you want me to do... I am helpless here!

Not sure how old she is, but I hear you on the napping. Both of my kids were not big nappers (oh, except at daycare. For me, nope.). Whenever I hear about people talking about 2 and 3 hours naps, I just cannot comprehend.

We usually get an hour, maybe an hour 20 out of DD. Rarely 2 hours and 3 has only happened when she was sick.
I have a friend whose kid sleeps 3 hours for naps and she acts like she did something to make it happen. Not so much IMO, I think some kids just sleep more than others.
It's pouring but hey, at least it's Friday. It's another weekend if H and his dad working in the garage and me with the kids but I have the house to myself on Monday, yayyy!
humpforfree, you are a rockstar!! Your day sounds great!
We are all set, my ILs are flying in tonight to help pack. FIL flies out Sunday and MIL is staying to drive out with C and me. I'm sorry we didn't get in one more GTG and I didn't get to meet E, maybe when our house sells we can come back and play.
Anyone know if you have to be present for closing?
I sold my condo in Denver entirely from across the country. Signed everything electronically and overnighted some other documents and it was done.
I am sitting on the couch with coffee and a brand new package of oreos. I have a million things I should be doing, but instead I am eating oreos for breakfast. I am awesome at adulting.
(I am so going to regret this when I start trying to tackle my mountain of grading on Monday. Also when my pants stop fitting.)
R has been on and off sick for 2 weeks. He really seemed to be on the upswing at the beginning of this week, but yesterday he barfed all over me and this morning he woke up with a NASTY diaper.
I have been looking forward to today for a solid month because I don't have school, but daycare is open. Whyyyyy does he have to be sick today?
My parents are #9 & 10 in the HA line LOL. We got three pair of free pjs. My dad swapped out and took the girls to the play area while I hang out with my mom.
Anyone else here?
I just got in line. I might be #10000 but the free pjs are in sight!

H has been in Vegas for a business trip this week. He texted last night that he won some money in craps and was off to blow it on blackjack. He sent a couple selfies of him with his buddies too. He absolutely never cuts loose so this is so cute and different.

My DH hasn't been present for a closing on our last 3 houses, including one I am not on the deed for. He just gives me power of attorney, and I go take care of it, but you could give Power of attorney to an attorney or anyone else you like. It is pretty easy, just has to be notarized, I had to have a copy of his driver's license, and maybe something else, the last time. The closing attorney should be able to tell you what you need, though I would probably want my own attorney, not the same one that is doing the closing, just to make sure everything is right (see my post this morning :-)
