Woke up anxious and can't shake it my dad forwarded me an email from my youngest brother. He is struggling, as usual. DS has an ugly cough and I don't know if we should go to the doc, I feel like we live there. And he is making zero bottle progress.

Im off today, and DS is going to daycare. I plan on grabbing myself a fancy coffee, then my big plan for the day is to clean out my closet and watch Game of Thrones now that I have HBO Now.
DS was amazed at this children's choir that performed at Oktoberfest, so tonight we're going to an open house and he might join in for the "Christmas season."
He's done sports activities, but nothing in the arts and it's cheaper than soccer. win/win. But most importantly, the idea to have pictures of my handsome 4 year old man singing Christmas carols WHILE WEARING LEDERHOSEN kills me. His future spouse will thank me for these pics someday, lol.
Waiting at home for the exterminators to come (effing Georgia and its bugs) then either headed out for a walk or to gym/gym daycare, I haven't decided yet. I always feel a little guilty sticking DD in gym DC on my days off with her, but since school was closed and I was with her all day yesterday, she can deal.
After having an awful day with DD when I tried to run errands, today we are hunkering down for a calm day at the house. I hope it resets her mood, otherwise I really will be looking at jobs.
Still on the hunt for non-heeled booties. The Petty's just didn't fit me well.
Since it's respiratory, breathing is the big factor. Labored, heavy breathing. Coughing and fever is also common, as well as discharge. It can be hard to differentiate from other illnesses though
Just had this convo with H. Like I get that my mom has absolutely zero fashion sense and buys C the most heinous clothes, but I thought it could be daycare only. I keep hoping she stains it irreparably so I can just throw it out. And also, H is kind of joking, but NOT REALLY. I'll have to pip the outfit later.
lol. I laugh because I think you and I share the same mother

I googled symptoms and both kids have some of them but not all (and they have different symptoms!!). If his cough gets much worse I might have to take him in. Thanks!
DD woke up at 6. I am exhausted so I tried to rock her back to sleep (lol!) and it actually worked! Of course, now I can't fall back to sleep. Who wants to come rock me to sleep?
RSV was super scary when DS got it at 6 months old. Coughing, wheezing, contracting. Google "contractions in infant" to see what it looks like (the abdomen gets pulled up and under the ribcage). If your little one is contracting you should go to Urgent Care/the ER.

We had a lot of people come in thinking it was flu but the panel showed RSV a lot. So it might be worth a check, especially if the cough gets worse.
MIL is coming over today to help with the boys like she does every Tuesday, but this time she's bringing SIL's 6 month old baby with her. She's watching him while BIL/SIL have their first OOT trip away from the baby. So there will be 4 kids under 5 in the house most of the day. OMG!
All talk of people being off while children are in daycare is making me feel envious. I'm in the opposite camp today. DS spiked a 102 fever yesterday evening and would only sleep in 3-4 hour bursts until it was time to dose him again. DD, meanwhile, woke up in the middle of one of these brief spells of DS sleep last night with growing pains and proceeded to be an intense PITA about how much it hurt and how she didn't want to take Advil for it and just wanted to come to my bed at 1 am.
I am wiped out and home with a sick baby, but need to work while he sleeps, which, mercifully, he is doing right now.

I am going to watch the cough. It's funny how the two kids show differently. She has had the most disgusting runny nose for almost a week - thick, yellow/green. But other than that l, and maybe some irritability that could be related to other things, she's fine. He never go a runny nose, it went straight to a cough. I know doc only worries about coughs ones they are no longer upper respiratory tract...so I will keep an eye on that.
I want to wear leggings and flannel and boots Damn it!
And I live in a part of the country that we are normally wearing that stuff this time of year! In fact, that's what I took to wear last weekend, and it was WAY HOTTER than expected. I was dying.
I think that's almost worst than living in Houston where this shit is expected but we complain about it every year!
I have a sex injury. I'm laughing at myself over how comical it is, but I must have done something really weird to my pelvis last night and it hurts to walk and/or sit today. And there are 2.5 months left and many pounds of belly to gain.
Starting in ten minutes, Preschool drop off, bible study, home to feed the youngest lunch, preschool pick up. About a two hour break where the little guy needs to nap, DD will get home from school, I have to get something in the crockpot. Haircuts at 3:30, straight to dance at 5:15. All home for dinner, DH leaves for softball at 7.
I have a meeting at 9 and am completely non productive at the moment because there is nothing I can really get started before then.
I still haven't told work that I am pregnant (aside from my immediate boss). I'm contemplating waiting until after my next appointment (next Friday). My director probably won't be in next Friday so I wouldn't tell them until I'm 17 weeks. Is that crazy?

One time with H I sprained my ankle by getting it stuck between the armrest and the passenger seat (we were in the back).
This is a much better story than "I was 7 months pregnant and having regular ol' vanilla sex with my husband in our bed." lol
Heads are going to fucking roll today. They are turning over the apartment upstairs and someone was working last night at 11, and again at 6am. I'm assuming they were also working at 10pm and that's what woke up the baby who then kept me up for 2+ hours.
