FYI, Banana Republic (I KNOW I KNOW. WE'RE TALL FREAKS AND IT'S ONE OF THE FEW PLACES WE CAN SHOP!) is running a 40% off sale and Ebates has 6% back. H and I dropped a fair amount of money and got a ton of fall essentials.
I just found out the volunteer commitment I have for tomorrow morning requires me to be there at 8 instead of 9. I wanted to lounge around in bed reading my book!!!
All of our systems have crashed here at work - for internal users and external users. it's wonderful.
Tonight we're going to the Ohio State/Miami(Ohio) hockey game at OSU. DD and DSIL are Miami alum, I'm OSU. Hockey is huge at Miami and big at OSU. Looking forward to a fun night.
Tomorrow we're going to the boat for the rest of the weekend. I think it's going to be my last weekend this year. We don't have a lift out date set for winter storage, we need to arrange that tomorrow. We do heated, indoor storage so I can leave just about everything on the boat. I will clean out and wipe down the refrigerator and freezer. I love boating, but I'm ready to do stuff at home. We boat from early April til late October, every weekend and I LOVE it but it is time for other things.

The new boss was going to take us out for lunch today. But then her boss scheduled a meeting in the middle of when we'd be gone. Why does he hate kim chee fried rice?

Between this and the cheese thread, I'm now starving.
And I'm out of cheese! All I have are dry roasted edemame.

I think we should go full size candy for Halloween this year. Our house is on a quiet street, no sidewalks, and barely any children. I think we got 8 trick or treaters last year. DH thinks I'm crazy.

We go full size candy and I highly recommend! We also cheat and give double candy to anyone who admires our pumpkin carvings.

He thinks word will get out about the red house with the full size snickers.

Still trying to figure out why that's bad.
We did this when we lived in the old house. It was a bribe for the kids that didn't mess with our decorations. We kept getting more kids, and I was thrilled. (I mean, it wasn't a lot, ~30 kids.)
That's the whole point! You get to be "That House".
I think he's afraid of being egged if we ever go back to snack size.
So what we've learned here is that your H was an asshole kid who did shit like egg houses?
I go full size when we're home to hand out candy. We get less than a dozen kids and their reactions are PRICELESS. Costco has good prices on a big box of mixed bars, so I see no reason not to.

That's just it, he totally wasn't. He just has a really low opinion of kids I our neighborhood, apparently.
My mom has a friend who is super vocal on FB about politics. He apparently got into it with a woman on a news post about the sentencing for two guys who beat the shit out of a gay guy in center city philly - and it pissed him off enough that he just posted her profile back to his own wall with the caption: THIS WOMAN RIGHT HERE thinks that the assault on a hate crime victim is partially his own fault.
I mean damn. If he was a redditor he'd be doxing her right now.

Do it! Then you'd have the rep as being the awesome house.

What kind of prices are we talking about? I see Amazon is about $1/bar for the full sized Mars or Hershey.
We will be in Salem for Halloween this year, actually. I've never been at my current house for Halloween, but maybe next year. I have no idea how many kids we'd get. I guess I should ask the neighbors. My mom gets about 200 in a good year, which is a LOT of candy. I might want to start saving for full sized bars now!

Cheaper than that. I forget exactly how much, but I sold them in our coffee station at work to subsidize the cost of beans and I charged $1 for them.
