Looking closer at the offerings, there are a couple of cute dresses in solid colors, but you can easily find similar elsewhere, with much less hassle. Also, most of those prints are ghastly.
Well you do make a good point that my opinion on prints is probably not one to follow since I wear dresses covered in squirrels, birds, and giraffes. AND LOVE THEM.
What is this nonsense? You can't order like you can from any other company?
How fucking stupid.
I feel like it has this weird mental effect that makes people jump on these clothes. OMG THERE'S ONLY ONE I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!! and they all start posting "SOLD" on facebook at the same time and then whining that there's only one. I don't have the energy for it.

Me, too! Really. I love that kind of animal print.
It was just humorous to me that Jenny started that post while possibly having worn a head-to-toe squirrel ensemble in recent history. Lol.
Some of the clothes I saw are...not good. Leggings with dolphins? No. I get that everyone has a different sense of style, but it's not my jam.
Also, you have to bid on these? It's not a set price? And no returns? What a racket.
WAIT do people seriously do that? I've only ever paid a flat price. And I was told there could be returns!
I don't know - maybe I misunderstood about the FB groups and pricing. And I don't want to start rumors, but I swear someone upthread said there are no returns?
FTR, I don't think the struggles or the social criticism is the same for petites and plus sized women. The social stigma is definitely different.
My point was to call out the fuckery that it isn't a struggle and small petite people just have it so damn easy. It's just not true. Not to mention, it's not the oppression olympics. People need to be aware of the power of their words. It's easy to dismiss the shaming of smaller sized women because it's not the same shame as plus sized women. I'd be pissed if people constant commented on being so wee and tiny that I look like a child.
To say that someone lacks perspective over it is dismissive and rude.
I never, EVER complain about this because it's a, "My diamond shoes are too tight!" but it's a very odd thing when people say things like, "You're so skinny!" or "You NEVER have to worry about gaining weight!" What am I even supposed to say to that? Thank you? That's not entirely true? IDK. It's just an odd thing to experience. Maybe we should all just not comment on weight or size, period. LOL.
There are thousands of patterns. What you see (especially the limited amount on LLR's website) is not nearly everything. There are some seriously ugly patterns but what I think is ugly someone else will love.
You don't bid (except some consultants set that up for "unicorn" prints and some people buy then resell on eBay) Each consultant sets her own prices (within a range given by LLR) and policies (so some allow returns, I did).
You either join their FB group or shop at an online or in-home party.
The leggings are amazingly soft. And not see-through.
I hadn't, but I just looked. The dress in the OP is cute, and I think would be ok on me, although I would definitely want it shortened a couple inches. The rest of what I'm seeing ranges from not my style AT ALL to omfg offensively ugly. Is intentionally mismatching your clothes a Mormon thing? My sister hate-reads a Mormon mommy blog and sends me photos of some of the worst outfits. I never understood it, but this may be a clue. Good heavens (pun intended).

I am in several LLR groups and "bidding" is not how I have ever seen it work. The seller posts an item, first person to claim gets it. The end.
I do think a lot of LLR patterns are tragic but I own several very plain pieces and I really like them. They are comfy but the prices are overrated.
I actually don't think the clothes are that expensive. Especially because they are made in the USA, unlike the leggings you buy at Target or wherever. I did participate in a group last week and the buying process wasn't that competitive. Many items were still available the next morning still, so you could really buy at your leisure. Different strokes and all.

I thought they were made in the U.S. too but I got something a few weeks ago that said made in China (or Taiwan?). Maybe most of it is but not all of it and that REALLY bugged me that they advertised as such.
