I worked at my DS's school book fair this afternoon and it was really fun. They have legit cash registers, unlike the old days when I was in school and they used paper and pen. I bought him the newest wimpy kid book. He is going to be excited. I wasn't going to buy him anything, since we already ordered a book from the book fair online, but the synopsis of the WK book has to do with unplugging from electronics, so I thought it would be good for him.

I've got a very sweet FTM friend in labor right now sharing cervix updates on Facebook. I'm excited for her and also laughing at her a little bit. "9.5cm, it's almost go time!" was the most recent.
Definitely not going to tell her that was the last update I sent my friends as a FTM before I had to push for 4 hours.
I need to take a break from the board. There are a few reasons but a major one is simply that I've been on too much and it's making me neglect some IRL stuff. I'm not quitting but I'm only going to check it at specifically designated times (at night when the kids are in bed, and during the day while I have DD2 in her very PT childcare which is my free time).
Now it is really hard for me to cut back, so I talked with my BFF about ways to keep myself accountable. I came up with the idea that for the next 30 days, every time I come to the board when I am not supposed to, I have to donate $5 to a charity of her choice. I figured she would choose FARE since her son has a deadly tree nut allergy and she strongly supports them. But no. She chose Donald Trump's presidential campaign. AND I have to use my real email address so I will be on his mailing list forever. So obviously I have no choice but to stick to the plan.
I wasn't even going to post about the cutback since it's not a big deal but I knew everyone would love the Donald Trump thing. I told my BFF she is a diabolical genius. lol.

NO! I will miss you a lot, but I think donating to Donald Trump's campaign is hilarious and will probably be very effective.

I may have just re bought DS' Chase paw patrol toy because I couldn't find Chase and it was driving me nuts. Now I will save the day and he will be happy lol. AND I bought the 3 other pups he doesn't have because they are sold out at Target and TRU and amazon is running low. I figured I should buy them now when I have the chance? This is the first time in my entire life I have bought Christmas presents before the week before Christmas. I feel so on top of things

Just had a frustrating conversation with DH about the offer we're about to put in on a house. We have been talking about putting in an offer of X dollars for 2 weeks based on our realtor's comparative market analysis, what we felt comfortable with, etc. We discussed this same number with our realtor just 2 days ago. Now he's all, no I think we should work up TO that number, and wants to start with an offer much lower than we discussed. We're going to meet in the middle, but I know our realtor thinks it's a pretty low offer, and I'm nervous that the seller will be insulted by our offer and not even give a counteroffer. So nervewracking!
page lol so your BFF picked that "charity" to keep you off the board, not because Trump is her choice for president? (I thought it was the former, but wanted to make sure haha.)
Anyway that sounds like a good idea. I need to do that or something similar. Days when it is slow here I am so much more productive in other areas of my life. I really need to just disconnect from my phone in general.
OMG it is definitely the former. I could not be BFFs with someone who supported Trump for president. We both hate him which is why she picked him--she is setting me up for success! lol.
I just realized the order I placed this morning with Erin Condren was my 10th. So now I get to use the coupon code for $50 off on my next order. That's going to burn a hole in pocket. Like I need anything....
H took the day off and we were going to go on a hike. We ended up going to the social security administration instead as I got a call yesterday saying we couldn't get a new number of junior as he gets benefits and the benefits don't end just because the adoption is finalized. We had to go and apply to be the payee of his payments. I am still not confident that these are actually going to continue but I would love it if they do. That would be an extra $900 a month.
Last night I saw Full House the Musical with a friend. We had drinks and dinner before hand. And reflected on the fact that I haven't done something like that without my wife or kids since sometime early in pregnancy... My kids are almost 21 months old, how did I let that happen?? Also Full House the Musical was truly as terrible as you would expect. And guess who played Danny Tanner? No, not Perez Hilton. Perez Hilton's understudy. SAD!
I do this daily - mine are white blond. It was weird at first but it makes a big difference!
Me too!
Have you tried getting them tinted? Mine are very light and tinting + threading makes a huge difference in my appearance. It's a bit of upkeep, every 4-6 weeks but well worth it for me.
One of my BFFs just told me she's not coming to baby's 1st B day party this weekend because her mil decided they are celebrating thanksgiving this Sunday since she'll be gone on a trip for actual Thanksgiving. It's probably lame of me, but I'm super bummed about it.
