OMG it's huge! (lol). The chairs do look much less phallic IRL. 8675309
It's true, they do. My poor child will forever be deprived of a childhood full of oversized toys. That thing takes up more room than my ottoman ffs, and space is at a premium in this joint.
my dad hated when I got Barbie stuff for Christmas because he would spend ages assembling it and placing all the stickers.
My mom loves to remind me that she had just had a hysterectomy and she was sitting on the floor Christmas Eve putting the stickers on that camper. Seriously. She reminds me every damn year. (((In so much paaaaaaain!!! For your camper Jenny!!")))

DS asked Siri: Siri, do you play baseball?
Siri replied: Only if RBI means "robots bring it."
Best Siri answer ever.
But I do agree if you aren't anti-tablet, just anti the price of an iPad as a gift for a 5 year old, the Kindle Fire is a great alternative. I got DS his Fire around that age when he asked for an iPad and he LOVES it. We actually just upgraded him to a new one for his 9th birthday. It's great on trips for watching movies on a long car ride or plane ride, it has some good educational (and non-eucational apps). But he actually uses it to read more than anything. He reads Sports Illustrated Kids and National Geographic Kids on it and participates in a reading competition at school and all the books for it are available on Kindle; so if he finishes one, we can just download the next. He also likes to listen to Pandora on it, but that only works when he is hooked up to WiFi.
I'd advise against any of the made for kids tablets. While they are cool in theory, I hear the apps are crazy expensive.

Wrong thread. We're talking about Barbie Campers in here.
