My kids are with the ILs. I just decorated for Christmas and ordered all of the kids' gifts. I just bought my 2 year old (and 4 yr old) a kindle fire. Never say never!
H went to a "sloppy seconds" post-Thanksgiving party his friend is throwing. I'm home with an overtired baby that won't sleep. Hopefully I can get him to bed in the next hour or two.
Good day in general. I am hoping the evening goes well.
I'm trying my hardest not to stress about pumping this time around (I only pump 3-5x a week) but the comment in the other thread that you should get 3-5 ounces each time is making me paranoid. I normally get 2-3 which I thought was fine. I don't even know why I care! Stupid.
In the beginning 2-4 was my average. It wasn't until 6w when she started STTN and I got an oversupply that lefty used to give me like 6oz on its own.
We had a great day today. DH and I did some shopping while E napped and my parents where doing stuff around the house.
I'm so not looking forward to heading home tomorrow.
J took a nice 3 hour nap and I napped for an hour after the heartbreak that was the Michigan game </3
MH and his grandfather decided that NOW(well, tomorrow) is a good time to start building our stairs, after not doing anything for 15 months. I want to put up the Christmas tree, but anywhere it will go will be in the way. WHY do they have to do now? Can you please wait until after the holidays? But ugh, I want the stairs done and to move our bedroom upstairs, so I won't complain.
I'm putting down DD right now, she's been chowing all day. She normally averages 16-18oz a day but has had 22 so far and is drinking her nighttime bottle now. Is there a 10 week growth spurt?
AJ threw up right before nap but we figured it was a fluke (combo of phlegm from his cold and overtired meltdown). Then he woke up from nap with a 101 degree fever and major pathetic behavior His appetite has been okay though and he's perked up significantly since his Motrin kicked in so that's encouraging. Hopefully this is just the result of three days of family, fun, food, and not quite enough napping.
In the meantime, I think we're out of wine. I dont care for the beer J bought today, and don't feel like driving 60 seconds to the drive thru. Waaaah.
We had a good day today. Spent time at Buy Buy Baby looking at stuff and making sure we want the Bob double, not City Mini double (we do!), then we went to an indoor playground for a few hours and DD had a blast. Afterwards we went out to lunch at Panera where I got my favorite soup ever. Came home and we all took naps. We finally woke DD after 3.5 hours of napping!
I'm really disappointed that Auburn couldn't beat Alabama today. It would have been really nice since my dad passed a week ago today.
We got a 65" TV at Costco today and it's HUGE. OMG. But I kind of love it. So now when we get the room and board dresser we want then 3 rooms will be completed, just in time for the baby! None of those rooms are for the actual baby though.
I don't give a rip about college football, but why does Mark Richt still have a job? The bulldogs have had national title hype for ages and don't have anything better than a Sugar Bowl win to show for it. I was hoping Tech would win to put an end to his career once and for all.

FIGHT ON! Pac-12 South Champs! More importantly, we beat UCLA!
We're headed to the mall. I hope it's not a zoo.
I've been trying to get DD to identify the thing she wants most from Santa (bike? Olaf snow cone machine?). She wrote him a note today asking for "pink blush and purple lipstick." Santa says no.

We went to the Budweiser factory/bottling plant (I'm actually not sure what it is) in our city today to see the Clydesdales. It was really cool -- we got to see them in their stables then they hitched 8 or 9 of them to a Christmasy wagon and drove around a bit. The horses were gorgeous, but my favorite part was the Dalmatian who rode along. He was so cute and happy.
DD1 is sleeping over at my parents' house tonight. DH and I are letting DD2 stay up late with us (well, late is relative -- I'll probably put her to bed at 8). We're having a blast with her.
DH is upset Auburn lost, but thankfully he's not letting it affect his mood!
I'm about to go make ice cream sandwiches. Because I saw some stupid Facebook article with "life hacks" that showed one, and I've been craving one ever since!

I may have figured out the reason for DD's absolute insanity today. For snack she had, in quick succession: a bag of pretzels, a bag of pirate booty and an applesauce. 20 minutes later for dinner she had: one waffle with butter and syrup, a veggie muffin, and 2 yogurts. That's what happens when you melt down over food ALL FREAKING DAY and all you eat from 7:30-3:30 is 2 scrambled eggs.

DH and I still feel like we got hit by trucks. DD seems to be feeling better, but DS's eyes are gooping over again. Hopefully they don't turn pink again. My ILs are out of town. I called my parents, who live out of town and are a last resort anyway because I don't get along with my mom and she's not very helpful, to beg for help this week. My mom made a big deal over not wanting to board their dog (who has food aggression and is poorly trained in general, so bringing him isn't an option), so it looks like we're not getting any help. I'm sure she'll post a sappy status about missing her grandkids on FB soon, though.

We just back from a fairly hellish drive home from the cabin. It only took 2 hours, 20 mins, which is only about 20-30 mins longer than usual. But it was filled with lots of crying from DD and whining from ds2. It's 5pm and DH and i both just feel like we are done parenting today. The next 2 hours until bedtime better go by quickly!
I still haven't decided what either DH or I are going to wear for Christmas minis tomorrow. At least I have the kids figured out. I want DH to wear his grey sweater but I am not sure how I feel about it if I end up wearing a gold one. He could wear his purple one two years in a row and I am sure nobody would notice.
I cannot wait for some me time tonight after a very long day of solo parenting. H got home at nearly 6pm and we decorated the Christmas tree by the light and sound of the Comcast yule log.
Then H wrapped an Aden and Anais blanket around C's neck like a cape and he spent 45 minutes running back and forth and yelling "Superman!" Ridiculous and adorable.
DH just uploaded the two pro pics I am using in our Xmas cards to his Facebook. I'm not gonna say anything because I don't want a stupid argument but grrr.
