We all slept in this morning but I was still up before DD and DH. I decided to be nice and let DH sleep in. So DD and I are at McDonald's play place. DD gets to play and I get my sausage, egg, and cheese bagel. Win win!
Next we'll stop at the grocery store to get stuff for cookies I'm making today for a potluck and a gingerbread house to decorate.
Nobody is here, it's great! They had to actually unlock the doors and open it early for us since it normally doesn't open until 8.
When DS was a baby I used to take the kids to the playplace super early too. It was awesome. DD could do whatever because no one was around! I could just sit and hold DS.
Dd is up watching Ipad. Everyone else is still sleeping. We all feel a bit weird/off today. DS woke up with a cold at 3am. he's still out. I hope we're all not getting sick.
I have to get our food back on a track this week. So much out to eat it and general junk last week.
DH left for work at 6:30 so I've been up since then. I worked on some artwork for E's room at the beach.
E slept until almost 8! She said "you're back!" when I came in. Then she said she had fun with auntie.
We just finished up breakfast and are lounging for a bit. I think since it's supposed to be so warm we'll hit up the local farm/park before a quick target trip.
I need to make cookies for a work exchange Tuesday.
DD slept until 7:10. It was nice, but it was only because she was up screaming her head off between 11-1. I gave Motrin and then she finally fell asleep so I'm blaming teeth. But could a baby who's in that much pain MOTN really be happy as a clam all day?
The floors are already swept and mopped. The forecast high today is 72 degrees. I am in NJ so this is unprecedented. I plan to run DD ragged at the park!
DD got up around 6:30 and It was DHs turn to feed her then I guess they went downstairs and he let me sleep until 8:45!! It was glorious. I know he did it because it's football Sunday and he wants to watch all the games but I don't care! Totally worth it.

Yes. It's easier to be more distracted in the day time/find things to chew on/eat etc.

We are getting our tree after nap this afternoon. It's going to be almost 70. In Maryland. What? I need to finish up my Christmas cookies/baking today so H can bring his tray to work tomorrow.
Went to the ER last night at 10pm because DS (3,5) had a terrible rash on his leg that just exploded and we were concerned it was cellulitis.
The admitting nurse got us a doc right away, but he determined it wasn't and we got to leave almost immediately. I think we were there maybe 25 minutes? I was worried we would be there all night when it was urgent but not an emergency per Se. They were awesome.
We have to follow up with our family doc this week to do some allergy testing. Of course this happens to my kids. I LOVE vaccines!!!!
We had a great time last night - saw Santa at the swanky mall, dinner at CPK, a bit of shopping. C and I both fell asleep in my and H's room because she wanted to "lay down wif mommy and get cozy." As a result I slept 10 hours!
The only thing on today's agenda is filling out paperwork for the new job that starts tomorrow (eeeek!) and driving around to look at Christmas lights tonight.
That is an amazing indoor McDonald's play place. There are no good indoor ones near us!
It really is pretty good. That's only half of it too, there's a whole other side and a toddler area! The best though is that it's literally a mile, maybe 1.5 miles from our house!

It is beautiful out already. A and I went for a walk and by the end she was jacketless.
At 5am my daughter said she had to go potty over the monitor. She sleeps in a diaper, so I waited a minute to get her because I knew she'd be up for the day if I went in. Normally if she has to go she keeps asking. Today she just laid down and fell back to sleep, so I kept feeding the baby.
Surprise! She had a big poop in her diaper! First time she's pooped in a diaper since she potty trained 6 months ago. It was disgusting.
We are waiting for mil to return from church then we are going out for breakfast. Ds seems like he's finally healthy. Hopefully he stays that way for a while! I have bad cramps ugh
The high is 63 today, which is crazy! But it's supposed to rain, womp womp. I'm going to a sign making thing with my mom this afternoon. Just what I need, more ugly art that I made, lol. J is squawking in his crib, but I was hoping he'd sleep for another hour. He was up late last night. I wanted to workout before he woke up. Ah well, I'll just have to hate him into the office with H. I need to get my butt in gear.
We are getting ready to go to the gym. If you have a lifetime fitness near you I highly recommend their kids program. My kids beg me to take them which forces me to go. Lol.
After the gym we are celebrating Hannakuh with my in-laws. I have no idea what I'm going to do with all the toys my kids will get for Hannakuh and Christmas. I need to spend a day purging toys.

I just joined! Tomorrow will be the first day the boys go
Everyone is still sleeping except me. Even the dogs went back to sleep after they woke me up to feed them.
We had such a great day yesterday. We had a total of 4 kids including DD here for cookie decorating. I was bummed at first we didn't have more, but that was honestly the perfect number of kids. The kids had a blast decorating cookies and playing.
Then an aunt I haven't seen in at least 3 or 4 years was in town for her stepsons college graduation and she came over and visited. It was so great to see her!!
We finished the day wrapping presents and watching Christmad Vacation. So fun!!
I think we're taking DD to see Santa today. Wish us luck.
He went to bed around 10:30 and we were puke free for the rest of the night thank goodness. He had a little bit of spit up after we tried Cheerios this morning and now he's running a fever but he's still relatively happy. I hope the worst is over.

It is so worth it! My kids love all of their classes.
If you were invited to a wedding and really wanted to go but couldn't how do you decline? I was thinking of sending a nice card with a gift but am stuck on what to say...WDYT of this: We are so excited to hear about your wedding in April! Unfortunately, we won't be able to attend but appreciate you including us on your special day. We will be thinking of you on April XX, and send our love and best wishes your way
I also plan on including a six pence with a small card explaining the tradition.
@cse1960 this seems like something you would know!

Apparently I was wrong about everyone sleeping. I'm in the nursery and looked out the window and saw DH and DS2 walk up the street with the dog. So I guess they've been up for a while and decided to take the dog on a walk. I'm glad I spent from 3am on in the nursery bed now. I guess I got to "sleep in" a bit more than DH did.
Oh man parenthood hard to watch this morning. Poor Julia. It's so hard to be a working mom! I really wish the actress wasn't a Scientologist.
What? !?! That ruins julia for me now
Dd has now thrown up. Im still not feeling great and either is dh. Dh had to work again today so I told him to take the baby to the ils for a few hours. I feel like a horrible mom but she drives me crazy! She just screams most of her waking hours, wants me to carry her everywhere, nurse to make her happy again, etc. I don't remember dd1 being like this. The only time she is happy is if she is out. If she is home she is a mess. Ils agreed to take her for 2 hours. Better than nothing.
