I like it. I don't make it a point to watch it every Christmas. I dislike all the inevitable articles that come out this time of year about why the movie sucks.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. It's one of my favorite movies of all time.
DH won't watch it with me because he sucks. But before I had kids, I would watch it constantly during Christmas time -- it was my favorite movie to have on when I was wrapping presents and stuff. Now I can't because the kids can't watch it.
I love ALL the story lines. Well, except the one with the guy who goes to the mid-West and meets January Jones. Even Betty Draper can't save that awful story line.
I also agree with PP -- as I've gotten older, I identify with the characters differently. When I was 24, I saw myself as Keira Knightly or the Portuguese girl who Colin Firth falls in love with (Mr. Darcy, hello!). Now I can put myself in Emma Thompson's shoes, and it really does seem even more tragic.

I just heard about it/watched it a couple weeks ago to see what the fuss was about. I got through it ok, but not one I'd watch again. The only person I was "rooting" for was "Jojen" (I don't remember the name he had in the movie).

I'm not a fan of all the story lines. But overall, I really like the movie. DH was just saying that we need to watch it since it's Christmas time. We usually watch it once a year during December.
We were all in the car the other day and I said, "DS1, why don't you tell Daddy about how you are doing a Christmas play with your school?" And DH says, "Oh, are you going to be the first lobster?" LOL. Needless to say my 5 year old was very confused.

I love it despite some of the storylines being meh. It's just that the great storylines were REALLY great so that makes me love the movie overall.
I was meh on the porn storyline and Keira Knightley's storyline. Oh, and Laura Linney's storyline except for HOT KARL.
I mean, really, you can't possibly watch a movie with Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, AND Liam Neeson (ETA: AND Rowan Atkinson!) in it and hate it. My goodness people.
I used to love, love, love this movie. It was the one movie I made sure to have on DVD.
Then I started thinking about it. The plotlines are ridiculous and, in some cases, offensive. I decided I didn't care. I watched it again last Christmas season and I was like, dude. No. This is terrible.

Sam. He's also Ferb. And "Joanna" is Vanessa Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb!

I like some of the story lines within the movie, but dislike some of the others. The one with the husband out shopping with his wife to buy his mistress a gift is especially yucky to me.
I heart Love Actually. There are some crappy storylines, but I love it overall.
I really try not to overthink movies I'm watching. I like the Hunger Games, but it's not like I'm going around supporting teens running around killing each IRL just like I wouldn't like it if a couple of the Love Actually storylines happened to me/people I know IRL. (hope that makes sense.)
Some of the extreme hate reactions to Love Actually baffle me. It's.a.movie.
I loathe it. I should like it (I love quirky romantic comedies, especially British ones), but alas, I can't stand the plots. I agree with a lot of the things in this review of it.

How about the one where the guy just lost his wife and he is excited about flirting/maybe hooking up with Elle McPherson?? I was always :/ at that one. Even the Kiera Knightely story line. It was cute and made me go awww the first time I saw it but then when you really start to think about it...:/
But whatever, it's a cute, cheery movie overall. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it now but if it was on tv and I was looking for something to watch I probably wouldn't turn it off.

I always forget that I dislike it. Every Christmas I see it on Netflix and think "Yay! That's a fun Christmas movie!" And then I watch it and it's just terrible. I've never felt more validated than when I read that Jezebel article.

*ahem* It was Claudia Schiffer. I thought it was great that they got her to play the classmate's mom after the earlier reference to Claudia Schiffer.
Put me in tbe camp of liking this movie enough to include it in my annual Christmas viewing list. Some of the storylines are better than others, and yes some of them are just plain ridiculous, but overall I still enjoy it.
