I like/love this movie a lot, but yeah there are so many dumb storylines. Laura Linney's character is just the worst. Some how the whole thing works though. I'll watch it again this week I'm sure.

I love it, but only if I don't think about it too much. Also, it's going to be really difficult to watch the porn stand-in parts after having watched Fargo this year. I usually watch this or While You Were Sleeping when I wrap Christmas presents. (And NO, I DON'T THINK TOO HARD ABOUT THAT MOVIE EITHER, OK???!?!)
Somewhere between meh and dislike it. As with people who say things like "You Got Mail" is the best movie ever, I can't even see how people get there. Of course, for a long time Finding Forrester was my favorite movie of all time so who an I to judge.
The endless parade of "stop watching Love Actually every Christmas" articles is now annoying. You do you etc.
How about the one where the guy just lost his wife and he is excited about flirting/maybe hooking up with Elle McPherson?? I was always :/ at that one. Even the Kiera Knightely story line. It was cute and made me go awww the first time I saw it but then when you really start to think about it...:/
But whatever, it's a cute, cheery movie overall. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it now but if it was on tv and I was looking for something to watch I probably wouldn't turn it off.
*ahem* It was Claudia Schiffer. I thought it was great that they got her to play the classmate's mom after the earlier reference to Claudia Schiffer.
Put me in tbe camp of liking this movie enough to include it in my annual Christmas viewing list. Some of the storylines are better than others, and yes some of them are just plain ridiculous, but overall I still enjoy it.

Love, love, love! I watch it while wrapping Christmas presents every year. I especially love the opening and closing scenes in the airport. I just adore airport reunions. H and I were long distance for 3 years and had many reunions in many airports around the world and these scenes bring back fond memories.
The music to that movie alone is fantastic. There's one song in there that makes me want to learn how to play piano (and I don't even own a piano.) It's called "Glasgow Love Theme"...wonderful instrumental.
I really like Aurelia and Jamie's story the most, especially at the end where he finds her working in the restaurant with all of her family, I got a little teary on that scene. Oh and the scene with Joni Mitchell's 'Both Sides Now'...more tears coming from my corner.
Love it. My husband and I watch it every Christmas Eve!
Who are these husbands? My H would make fun of the movie while we watch it and then make fun of me for liking it.
My husband likes it but he wouldn't admit it to his friends. He also cried like a baby during The Notebook, both of us were reaching for tissues together on that one. I love little moments like that where you look over and notice your husband crying during a movie....it's sweet.

We played that during our wedding when the parents were being seated. Clearly I love the movie.
The only person that loves it more than me is my DH. We watch it every Christmas Eve while we stuff stockings. Yes, it's cheesy and much of it doesn't hold up to scrutiny but I can't think of a single holiday movie that isn't just as cheesy and unrealistic.
