Love it. It reminds me of a certain time in the UK, early 2000s when Tony Blair (Hugh Grant based on him) was in power and the country felt on top of everything.
Not really a huge fan of some of the storylines but it's better than the million Christmas movies where someone wakes up and suddenly lives in the burbs with 2 kids. I've watched about 5 versions this year alone.
Even when you consider that it's supposed to be a campy, light, holiday romp - I still hate it. I find most of the storylines creepy and not at all touching and can't believe that so many of the stars in it thought it was a good idea.
(But then I see how many people love it, and imagine the celebs laughing all the way to the bank, so good for them!)

I love it for many reasons, but seeing Ant and Dec really brings me back to my childhood and watching Byker Grove, which maybe three people here will know! I love that they grew up together and became presenters! And the best scene is when Billy Mack addresses them as "Ant or Dec" and gives his message from Uncle Billy.
Love it. I always watch it while I wrap Christmas presents. I think Sarah and Carl's story makes me so sad. Just put your phone on silent for a moment! He can't call literally all the time! Carl can still get it in! Still, though, that's the love she chooses, and that's okay.
Damn you, Alan Rickman. Emma Thompson is a DELIGHT. I would be thrilled to be married to Emma Thompson!
The worst story line is probably Colin, god of sex, but it's funny. It's over the top silly fun. And apparently January Jones wrote about half her lines. I'm betting on, "And, he's a Christian!" Hilarious!
I do the same thing. I love the movie, it's happy, sad, funny, and frustrating all at once.

It's weird because now Ant and Dec remind me of Popstars which they hosted in the early 2000s. I almost forget about Byker grove.
