I am watching last week's Countdown to Downton and Fellowes is promising that this will be a season of resolution, questions will be answered, etc.
The only thing I've got off the top of my head which really doesn't matter either way is whether Daisy has any regrets about William. Of the unrequited crushes she's had since becoming a widow, none of them seem any better than William to me. I wonder if now that she's older, she realizes that he would have been a good choice.
Is there anything you would like to know that you think hasn't yet been answered?

I'd like to know what actually happened to Gregson.

Ditto.
I'd also like to know whether the disfigured soldier was actually the supposed late Patrick Crawley or not.

I felt so strongly that he wasn't, but now I don't remember why I felt that way.
The countdown mad me so sad . Hugh Bonneville did say he smiled when he read the end of the script, so that is nice. I think I'm going to cry, though.
They were replaying the old seasons on my local PBS around Christmas and I happened to catch the episode with Patrick at the hospital during the war. I'm really not sure if it was him or not, but either way, I feel that it was left totally unanswered. Moreover watching some of the old ones made me want to smack Lady Mary upside the head again, but I've decided that they made her even snatchier after Matthew died. Which on some levels made sense.
I wish that Edith and Mary could see that they're fighting the same fight. Women trying to have careers in a time when women boss ladies were almost unheard of.
I swear if something bad happens to Anna I'm going to write Julian Fellows a sternly worded letter.
Yes. SO TIRED of Anna being miserable, it was nice to see her so happy at the end of this episode finally. This season better end with her having a baby and both surviving!

On that countdown special, he talked about a woman following him around a bookstore during a visit to the US. When he turned around and asked if he could help her, he said her lip was quivering, and she said, "Won't you please just let Edith be happy?" It also mentioned that the Bates' and Edith are the characters with the worst luck. At this point, just throw them all a bone, sheesh.

I always think I'm going to quote something hilarious from here and put a , but I end up thinking the whole thing is hilarious, so I can never choose and I just give up. I hate/love that.
Re. Episode 2, I can't wait for Edith to fire that sexist pig and show everyone who the boss really is.
I didn't get why it wa such a big deal for the kids to come to the pig show. Seemed like a big set up.
Almost all of the main female characters have had some sort of pregnancy-related issue. Obviously many of them are realistic, but I'm tired of it in Anna's case.
I really want Tom to come back. I also feel like they need a new character to add intrigue.
