I'm beat. We're listing our house so I took the boys to daycare and spent the entire day cleaning so the realtor could take pictures. I can't imagine how we will keep the house in showing condition with a preschooler and a toddler.

Just hanging out with C and trying to survive til bedtime. I doubt DH will be home til late tonight. Once C is in bed I will shower and relax til 8ish and head to bed myself. Pathetic but DH keeps waking up at 5a and I am solo pretty much all week and exhausted. Hoping my energy picks up in a few weeks but not very hopeful since it didn't with C.
OMG krystee, that should appear next to the definition of Pout in the dictionary.
I'm home, P and I ran errands for a few hours after work/daycare. We mostly came up empty handed (looking for a table/chair for her) but went out to dinner. She was well behaved and ate everything I brought for her, and when she was done eating she'd simply hand food back to me rather than throwing it on the ground or waving it around. Now she's asleep and I'm watching Tudors. I'm putting myself on a few more days exercise restriction, whenever I try to with this cough it goes poorly. If the cough isn't gone by monday it's doctor time (it's been 2 weeks).
DS was in the tub tonight while I POAS. I looked up to find him holding a peice of poop. Test was negative, and as I cleaned out the tub while trying to keep a slippery toddler from the toilet paper, trash can, towels, etc. I was mostly relieved. Now I'm a little sad. It was only month 2 of trying (and half assed trying at that), but I think we are going to post pone for a couple of months while we list our house.
I need outfits for the kids for Easter (when we will take family pics) and school pics (just the kids). Are these outfits ok? The blue/purple would be for Easter because DH and I have clothes that match whereas we don't have anything yellow. (Ashley&Scott)

I got an Easter cake & cupcake order for $50! It'll be enoug to cover the mini mom & kids photo session I wanted to do, plus some! It will feel good to be contributing back into the savings/checking accounts to cover some of the overages that I've been responsible for the last few months. Also, vacation savings! If I had started a little earlier I may have had enough saved to go to the gtg
I had chocolate cake and beer for dinner. Worst bedtime in a long time. My tantrum puker threw up twice on the carpet that I had to clean up while the baby screamed on the floor.

My IUD came out. My DH mentioned that it bugged him, so I tried to adjust the strings by moving them to the side, and I ended up pulling the entire thing out, even though I didn't really pulled on it.
After telling my mom she's getting a granddaughter she exclaimed that she couldn't WAIT to give me all these collector plates that she hung on the wall of my bedroom when I was little. Think Bradford Exchange.

Home from having lunch with my mom, it's a 1.5 hour drive each way without traffic. So it's a long day but it was fun to see her. I think I'll order pizza for dinner.
We have discussed moving into a bigger place for years, but today I got the kindergarten registration packet based on our current address, and I just ordered DD1 her own address labels for her birthday because she loves to send cards. This afternoon a realtor randomly came to the door to see if we were interested in selling our townhouse because apparently he has a client who really wants one like ours and inventory is very low. My husband is skeptical that it's anything other than a business development practice for the realtor himself, but nonetheless we're now looking at upgrades in our town. Guess I'll wait a little while on the registration packet...
Feeling OK still, I don't know that I'll declare myself safe until tomorrow mid-day. I'm betting if I get sick I'll wake up in the middle of the night.
I have a level of reverse snobbery around the fact that I have yet to hand wash a bottle for DD2 (and neither has my husband). DISHWASHER FOREVER!
Did you know that a major appliance manufacturer whose appliances I've bought for years now makes ones with built in bottle washers in the bottom? They're little spray jets. We may have made a final purchase and it may be sitting in a POD in my driveway
I'm irrationally upset that my ILs won't leave their new dog to come for my kid's birthday party, but they will leave the dog to see the Cavs and OSU women's basketball.

There is nothing irrational about that. Sorry your ILs suck.

We hired some handymen to install part of an Ikea Closet Algot System and Closetmaid system for my husbands new closet and his office. We need to now finish the install but this should really help from an organizational perspective as our house has become a disaster.
I think I am going to try to plan a major home renovation - kitchen, floors, master bath, fireplace, etc while I am still on maternity leave. Wish me luck - this is hard work and I am super indecisive - thank god for pinterest - and is going to cost a small fortune. This all was decided b/c I had someone paint some of our walls white and the 12 year old carpet looked so gross I decided we needed to redo the whole home. I had a list of other things they were going to fix and I realized fixing the broken kitchen cabinets and replacing the crappy sink weren't going to make the house look any better.
Folks who have done this please share advice. I have a contractor I think I like.
I wish my husband and I were more handy. We are not - at all. It is sad.
I am sure I will post lots more about home renovation questions in the coming weeks.
