The Nest has gone crazy again and the few remaining members of the Book Club board over there, myself included, have finally had enough of their crap. We were wondering if we would be welcome on this board. We didn't want to just bombard you guys and thought it would be polite to ask first. So, this is me asking. Would you mind us joining you here?

Cool. Thank you!
I guess I should introduce myself. Let's see, I just turned 37, married, 1 DS who is 5, 1 crazy dog who is 2. Besides reading, I also like to do yoga. I'm trying to get back into running with C25K. I like a bunch of different genres but generally read YA, Fantasy/Paranormal, & Romance. I try to throw in a non-fiction book now and then.
100% fine. Actually wonderful! I love to discuss books and although we have some great members it's been kind of slow here, so I'm happy to have as many more people as want to come.
I've posted sporadically on MMM and ML, but books are my jam so I'm glad we have a place to come to!
I'm 34, married with a 3 year old son. I'm mostly into Urban Fantasy and PNR, but I do try to get out of my comfort zone a bit and try new recs/genres. I try non fiction every now and then, but they so rarely grab me.
Hi! I've been posting here but have never introduced myself.
I'm 37, have a 5 year old daughter, and I've been a bookworm since elementary school. I am not a huge nonfiction fan but will read most anything else. I'm not loyal to any particular genre.
I am a long time lurker on the nest as I was locked out a long time ago, but want to be more active here. I'm 38 SAHM to twin 3yo girls and am due with a boy in Oct. I guess historical fiction is my favorite genre, but I've gotten so many great recs from the nbc, and don't shy away from much. I also try to always have a non-fiction going for my brain (even if I set it aside to finish a great fiction book), and am slowly working on the presidential challenge!

What is the Presidential challenge?
presidentialchallenge.wordpress.com/about/ This is from nbc, but when I was looking it up, I noticed goodreads has one too. Basically, we want to read a non-fiction for every president in order of their presidency. My goal is only to read 4/year so it's a lifelong endeavor for me, but I've been amazed at how much I've learned and I'm only up to Harrison!

I've only been on the Nest about a year so I'm glad to be moving over here. I'm 33, love to read. I have a husband and 2 cats. I read a lot of YA, some romance and dabble in non-fiction if I like the subject. Thanks to NBC I've really branched out. Trying to catch up on a lot of the books that were popular on NBC last year.
Hiya! I'm a nest abandoner, too. I was sassypants527 over there but someone over here has that already so I dropped the wedding date from my name.
Oops, I haz a dum. I forgot to tell you about me. I'm married almost 9 years, we have three cats, and I am the curator/museum at a museum in SWVA. No kids, obvi. I do theatre and music (flute) in addition to reading. I read all kinds of stuff, but I tend toward more fantasy/paranormal reading and historical fiction and non fiction.
Hi everyone! I'm wife2james over on the nest. I'm joining you guys too!
I'm 38, married, no kids. I work full time while I'm pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management part time. Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to read but I am slowly working my way through the Outlander series (currently on #3 Voyager). I'm pretty open minded so I don't have any genres that I specifically enjoy.
I'm sfgiantsjo (Joann). No kids for me, but my husband and I have a dog we love to spoil. I'm a wine snob, book nerd, disneyphile, and baseball geek!
Thanks for letting us migrate here and join you. Please forgive me, as I am sure to make errors and bungle things up, since I'm super new to proboards.
Edited to add: OMG, I need to add a profile picture. I promise I'm not a bald alien. That is frightening.
I've been posting over here every now and then, but I'm also from the nest. I posted over there a while ago and then went back to lurking. I was booknerd over there as well.
I'm married with two cats. I love to read (obv) as well as eat lol, garden (mainly veggies), write, run, binge on Netflix, and watch football. I love wine, so I'll throw that in there too.
I read a little of everything: romance, historical fiction, suspense/thriller, YA, anything. I'm currently trying to reread classics as well. I'm way behind on my reading goal this year. Work is kicking my butt.

Hello to all our new posters!
I hope y'all like it here. We're a bit slower than the Book Board on The Nest. But we're always up for new members -- especially when they bring new and different suggestions for books to read.
I'm late to the moving party but I'm sooo happy to be over here - the freaking nest never let me log in on my phone so I've been unable to post on NBC for a while
Anywho, I'm Holly, 32, married with two kids, and I am a reading addict lol. I've already read 68 books this year so far. I tend to read light stuff (PNR, YA) but I'm trying to branch out to more literary fiction, historical fiction, and non-fiction books this year.

I'm also coming over from the nest. I'm not always a super active poster but I'd like to participate more. I'm Kellie - 33, married with one dog and no kids. I do love to read. I started off slow this year but I've really been picking it up this last month.
I pretty much read most genres but mainly stick with fiction and memoirs. I'm doing Book Riot's Read Harder Challenge on Goodreads so that's been branching me out some this year. I'm loving it.
I'm Willy. I'm married and have an almost 2 year old and live in the DC metro area. I've always been a big reader. It was never a punishment to me to be sent to my room growing up.
I read most genres but mostly read fiction and YA. I'm slowing working my way through Outlander and loving it.
Hi! Another nest transplant. I'm 38 yr old mom to three kids and two dogs, married to my hubby for 12 1/2 years. Love to read. I didn't post a ton, but I loved getting great recommendations from the nest book club ladies. I was CTDec03Bride on the nest.

I'm impressed! I'm at 15 finished (working on 3 others) and feel like I'm doing well.
I'm still SusieBW from the Nest. Thanks for having all of us over here! I'm looking forward to a little more activity.
So, about me . . . I'm 37 (as of yesterday!), I have a 4 year old girl and a 1 year old boy, I'm an environmental lawyer (I speak for the trees!), I believe in the Oxford Comma and a double space after a period, and I usually like to read a little of everything. I definitely lean more toward non-fiction, especially history and auto/biography, but I love a good YA or chick lit when someone refers me to them. Music autobiographies are probably my favorite genre if I had to pick only one. But lately I'm stuck in Revolutionary America, reading the last few history books I wanted to get through before moving on with my presidential challenge (I'm only on Monroe, and I only read about 2 presidents a year, so I'm in this for the long haul).
I'm currently reading: James Monroe and A Nation's Call to Greatness by Harlow Giles Unger and Plain, Honest Men: The Making of the American Constitution by Richard Beeman (audio book)

I'm from the Nest too but didn't post too often. I'm Jenn, I'm 29 and work full time & finishing up a degree...so I don't have a lot of spare time to read. I love traveling and quilting. I'm married and we have a psycho cat but she keep us entertained.

I prefer to call it a Serial Comma, because it makes more sense to me, but I will never stop using it.
And I hate that autocorrect changes double spaces to single after periods. But I hate autocorrect in general.
