Long lake weekends. Orange Beach, Alabama for a week Pool, public and my parents have one. Youth baseball (whether I find that "fun" depends on the day)
We have free passes to the zoo, so we will definitely do that. Also definitely a local amusement park.
I have relatives all across the state who I haven't seen in years. I would like to do a road trip through Pennsylvania and visit them all.
My H was dragging his feet about our regular beach vacation, which caused us to miss the window where we could have gone for free on credit card points. My daughter has been talking about going to the beach ALL. WINTER. LONG. So we will at minimum do day trips. I would love to find an affordable longer option.
That's the fun stuff. I'm also hoping to catch up on approximately 8 million home projects that I've let go over the last 8 months.
Going to the neighborhood pool Weekends at the lake (in laws have a lake house) Free outdoor concerts Local festivals Taking DD to a local splash pad/fountain Lots of time at the park, I'm sure Grilling out Yard work (not really "fun" but we have finally started doing some gardening and decorating out there, and it's fun to enjoy the space now that it's pretty!)
We rented a cottage in PEI in Cavendish and will be staying there for eight nights. And may do a couple of nights somewhere else on the island. We're going to visit the flower pot rocks after leaving the island. A few days in Fredericton as well.
We're going to the Newport Folk Festival one day and will sight see in Newport another day.
We're going to my parents other house, just our family without my parents, for two to three weeks. The kids will be in camp all day. I plan to read, take walks, and finally spend real time writing and working on art.
We'd like to go to Tanglewood for the evening one summer night.
I have been waiting, like, four years to replace our old DSLR, which my son broke. I am hoping to replace it and take lots of photos. I am going to go for a great lens and a so-so camera body, and drop and spill insurance.
"Why would you ruin perfectly good peanuts by adding candy corn? That's like saying hey, I have these awesome nachos, guess I better add some dryer lint." - Nonny
Also family trips to Austria and Maine plus Bermuda for a wedding. When we're home we'll be back and forth to the Jersey shore and otherwise spend our time at the pool. E's Brownies troop is walking in our town's Memorial Day parade, so she's excited about that. H and I are seeing Coldplay in August. And of course my birthday always ends the summer, just after J's and before H's. Is there any wonder why it's my favorite season?!

Who knows?! Hopefully doing some of the things I usually do with my BF with my friends. I am going to make them! So, patio drinks, beach, amusement park, beer festival, jays game, CNE, and enjoying the sun. I'd love to go away if I can but I am poor and I have no vacation time left. Luckily, we get extended long weekends every holiday in the summer so that helps. I can do a 4 day trip to DC.
We spend as much time at the Cape every summer as we can, and we'll do that this summer too if the weather ever rises above the 40s. UGH.
H has to be in Florida for work a bunch of the summer so I'm taking my younger sisters down there with me to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Prepping for baby.
Hopefully renovating our kitchen. (Fun result but not fun process.)
Vacation/babymoon somewhere in August. Europe or Hawaii are front runners.
This summer we opted out of California to save money for Disney next year, so instead we're going to rent a cabin for a weekend in the mountains. Also,
- pool days - day beach trips - a week at Sandbridge Island (VA beach) - a girls trip to Rehobeth in July for 4 days to celebrate our group of friends all turning 30 this year - running with the jogging stroller - grilling and eating outside - laying in the hammock and reading while Viv naps on Ollie's school days - playing in the water table - picnics
What in the good holy heaven is a sandwich fair? Is it a festival full of sandwiches? Can I come with you?
Sincerely, Megachoo .
LOL, sorry no. It's a city, outside of Chicago, where our farm is located. There's a bunch of family history stuff around that area, so my FIL wants the kids and grands to go.
