Rain is a good reason to be cranky, rjamz. It makes everything more difficullt.
I hate to dredge it up when you've likely moved on, but WTF is wrong with your MIL, thedahliharpa? I was outraged 18 months ago and I'm stewing now. At 4, L knows that you don't touch/take things that belong to other people. How does she not understand that as a grown woman?

I had one last personal day for the school year and only 22 school days left, so I took it today. It turns out the Goo Goo Dolls acoustic session is at 4 so I wouldn't have been able to make it since I don't get out of work until 4. So I plan to lounge around this morning, maybe take a nap. Then go for sushi alone for lunch. Then maybe sit on the beach for a bit. But basically I plan to do nothing of substance.
I've got an impossible list of things to do today, and I feel awful. I for see a lot of TV in my kids future, but I kind of don't care because DH and I are taking them swimming this evening, and I'm just going with "it's all going to balance out."
I also got all the fabric for H's 2 year quilt yesterday. I can't wait to get started!

I've decided that H switching to weekends is the greatest thing ever. The past 2 mornings I've been able to sleep in, and when I wake up he is outside playing with the kids. I get to drink my coffee in the house alone. This hasn't happened in forever.
One of B's classmates mom asked if I would take her son to school for the rest of the year (3 weeks 2 times a week) because her license got suspended from a dui. So now I need to rearrange the car seats to fit 3 across

I think I mighy have to look into something for Dylan. He has been acting out at school again since spring break. Last night he had his first baseball practice and he wouldn't pay attention at all. It shines a light on his behavior big time when he's in a group of other kids his age who don't act all out of control.

Talk to the pedi about getting a rating scale for you and his teacher to fill out. If there is something that comes from it, you can request a 504 meeting to make a plan to help him to be more successful at school. Good luck!
This is the first day I've truly dreaded going to work. I don't know how people in HR do it all the time. Firing people is no fun for anyone. I hope the employee takes it as well as possible.
Baby was up from 3-430a last night (yes I still call my 14 month old a baby). I'm not sure what his deal was. Seems like he's been doing this right before an ear infection. I think we'll have to see an ENT about tubes it is becomes one . Why can't it warm up already and STAY warm so my children stop getting sick?!?
OMG. I have 1 student who is rather obsessed with me. he doesn't comprehend boundaries and appropriate classroom discussion very well. We are not very structured today so he is driving. Me. Crazy. Love him. But please stop asking me so many questions.

He had his 6 year check up about a month ago and his doctor said we should wait until next year to see if hegrows out of it.
He's able to focus for long periods of time doing things like building with blocks or coloring. I really thing it's a confidence issue and I don't know how to help him with that.
I woke up with itchy hives in all the areas I did my laser hair treatments. Dr Google tells me you can have an allergic reaction to the hair follicles being zapped. Great... No more hair removal for me plus I get to put on long sleeves and pants and go teach. It's their final review so I really can't cancel. Ugh.
Ah awesome. I just read the recent articles about swaddling and SIDS.
Don't put your kid on their side or stomach while swaddled. That's all it says. Which is common sense. You can still put your kid down on their back in a swaddle

It said something about older babies that are swaddled and how they can roll onto their bellies. We still do full swaddle for Lu for naps and nighttime in the swing. We are starting to transition her to the crib with the Sleepsuit this weekend.

I thought that was mostly if they're rolling. They shouldn't be swaddled if they roll because they can't get back. I thought it was all the same information
H went from basically not moving to crawling everywhere, pulling up, and trying to climb stairs in 24 hours. I keep forgetting he moves and going to where I left him and panicking that he's not there.
