I thought FINALLY we might be getting somewhere with the last two videos where there is video of what happened. There's just NO questioning what happened, especially in the latest one. It took away people's ability to say, "yeah, BUUUUT..." I'm afraid if the shooter is non-white, these idiots will be back at it again, running their mouths and not accepting that this is a VERY real, VERY serious problem.
ETA: Just saw the update. I'm done just ignoring their crap. My friends aren't going to like what I have to say...

It IS a very real and very serious problem regardless of what's happening right at this moment in Dallas. Our voices can't stop because of this.
One of the anchors on CNN has been getting texts from his daughter's friend in the Omni Hotel saying that 6 officers were down and the sniper (a second shooter) was in the hotel.
ETA: obviously not confirmed. And who knows how reliable.

I just. God. I hate to say I hope it's any race and I feel awful saying that but this will be so much worse if it's not. I don't mean that I hope it's anyone. My real hope this is a bad dream and I wake up in a few minutes and the last 24 hours just didn't happen.
This hurts my heart so badly. The videos are awful; it sounded like a war zone. Those poor people at the protest and the poor officers dealing with this now.
Why are so many people standing around when there are snipers in the area??
One of the reporters from Dallas (can't remember if it was on CNN or MSNBC) said that the police weren't detaining people from leaving the scene, but weren't letting people cross streets (leave cover) for their safety. People are still trying to get to their cars and train and bus services have been suspended. So some are probably stuck.
