No exaggeration, I would get divorced if my husband was a Trump supporter. I am considering finally cutting my father out of my life over it. As it is, I only see him once or twice a year and even that seems like too much with some of the things he has liked and shared on social media recently. There's no way I would live and share my life with someone who supported that disgusting excuse for a human.
Agreed. Not because I put politics before family or some such but because what this means is that my H would have a fundamentally different worldview and fundamentally different values.
(And because I could not deny my H his civic voice nor tolerate his willingness to deny mine-- it's disrespectful as shit)

I can't imagine staying married to someone who would vote Trump. Not because I think a couple has to mirror each other's votes all the time, but if you're for Trump you hold dear a very different set of values.
And I would never stay in a relationship where the person was trying to disenfranchise me. My vote is my own, you don't get to take that from me.

Yes, this is getting me all fired up!
I'll be damned if some fragile male feelings ever keep me from voting however I darn well please. You can't handle our household going net Clinton? Buck up and deal with it, buddy. The only vote in our household that you get a say in is your own.

If my husband was going to vote for trump I would threaten, abuse and harass him in anyway until he agreed not to. I might even lock him in the basement on voting day.
---it's not a joke, sorry love but momma knows best.
I also did violate my FIL 's face with a kebab for defending trump so I'm liable to do anything. #beefmissle
I can't handle anyone who thinks Clinton is equally bad as Trump, so I could not live with an H like that. My H considers himself to be a Republican, but was planning on voting for Clinton throughout the primary, because he didn't really like ANY of the GOP options. He basically no longer identifies with the current GOP, but believes in smaller government.
Anyway, my coworker in the next office over isn't planning on voting, but said if I can convince his wife, then they will both do it. Not sure it's worth my time to bother, but yay for progress that the wife is deciding?
I wasn't really worried about my H but he is much less passionate about certain topics, more coldly logical and in general, less empathetic and emotional. So while I haven't worried he would ever support Trump, I was sort of worried he would try to talk me down or dismiss my fears. Even though we have the same values (though he is more pro smaller government than I am - much more libertarian in general really), I tend to get much more riled up which causes him to sort of dismiss me or try to ignore me to get me to calm down. But he hasn't and he has been ranting with me and he agreed about our parents right away and didn't even laugh me off or try to say oh we should just agree to disagree.
He may vote for Johnson over Clinton (voted for Clinton in the primaries), but we live in TN so as long as he keeps just giving me mild shit for my Clinton donation habit (and not asking me to stop - he hates donating to political campaigns), we are good. If we lived in a state in play I would ask him to vote for Clinton and I am not even sure I would have to ask.
I did strong arm him into voting for her in the primary but he wasn't really objecting. He had been planning to vote for the least bad R option but couldn't decide who that was, so I told him to vote for Hillary. And he did.
OMG pence you fucking dancing monkey. How can you stand there and clap for a candidate for president talking about Heidi Cruz like that. Your dignity called and it wants you to go hide in a hole.
So...I'm watching this on CBS on-line and I see a tagline that says "Trump: I Won't Accept Cruz's Endorsement" Umm...he didn't endorse you, you fuckface assbag.
He actually did pretty good last night. And now this morning he is back to showing his vile, repulsive true self.
Amazing
It's like he felt that he 'proved' himself last night, so he went to his top advisor & (if it's different?) Eric & Ivanka: "C'mon guys!! Didn't I earn anything last night?! I'll be quick; just let me let some of the tirade out- it's Friday!!"
omgggg why am I doing this to myself? He is just the worst and OMG he just called Scalia "beloved". I can't, I can't handle this. I know my mom is going to vote for this asshole (we don't talk about it, but I know she is) and I just can't.
I want to get lawn signs for Clinton, Johnson, Stein whoever else and out them all out. Vote anyone of the not Trump choices, but do not actively or passively support this vile man.
And why is he everywhere and Clinton is nowhere? She needs to stop thinking the moral high ground is going to win this election. More response speeches, more calling in to the damn news, more press conferences. Twitter is great, but that's not going to get the olds.
And he's going in again on the Cruz JFK story. My god.
Wait, seriously? This is what he's talking about the day after he accepted the nomination? I know I shouldn't be surprised, but I somehow am. He almost had a positive news cycle!

Yes seriously. There is no other Donald. This is him. This who and what we would get if he wins.

I'm seeing on twitter that he said something about Penthouse magazine? WTF? I need this live blogged as I'm at my desk at work.

He said that Cruz will endorse him in the next couple of weeks, but that he shouldn't bother, because he wouldn't accept it anyway. But he know that Cruz is totally going to. The fact that Cruz didn't actually endorse him is only a minor technicality.
the fact that he can't let any of this go is going to be his undoing. All HRC has to do is bring up these old things to send him completely off the rails in a debate.
When he said the thing about starting a super PAC in 4 years to trash Cruz... is he saying that he plans to be a one term president? Shouldn't he at least pretend that Cruz is looking at 2024, not 2020?

This might be the single greatest reason to choose Warren as his running mate. Something about her makes him completely lose what few marbles he may have rolling around in that head-shaped thing that sit on top of his shoulders.
"I don't see him winning any way, frankly. But if he did, it's fine," Trump said. "Although maybe I'll set up a super PAC if he decides to run."
Turning to his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Trump asked, "Are you allowed to set up a super PAC, Mike, if you are the president to fight somebody?"
I love that his VP candidate is now his fucking policy minion/personal googler. "Pence, be a doll and look this up for me...."

I missed last night - can I watch the whole thing somewhere online? I can also just catch the clips, but was hoping to watch the whole thing and couldn't find it.
