One key point is that Mueller did not start this obstruction investigation. According to the Post, that probe began “days after Comey was fired on May 9…” Mueller was appointed on May 17th. Reading the Post piece closely, I do not think it explicitly says that the probe began prior to the 17th. But the wording and logic of the piece strongly suggests that is the case.

i think the firing of Preet Bharara isn't as clear cut for 2 reasons. 1- a new POTUS typically replaces all those federal attorneys 2- Trump fired a whole bunch of other people.

Now, I agree that the reason, the timing, the strange behavior with telling Bharara he could stay & then firing him is all really suspicious.

But it's not like firing Comey, where Trump went on national television 2 days later & said it was related to the Russian investigation.

YUP... Mueller will present a report with his findings....hat could take years, or he could do interim reports...

Congress would then take that evidence & could file impeachment.  That's why Dem's aren't getting excited about it until (if) they retake the HOR in 2018.
