I've been to 2 stores since this thread started, and both times I've thought about this board. I'm worried I'm never going to be able to put a cart away and not think about CEP. It's very weird how this board seeps into so many random parts of my life.

This thread is amazingly on topic. Post baby #3 once I didn't return the cart due to a baby plummet that resulted in small blood head wound on my child and cried as I drove away because "kids turned me into that asshole who doesn't care about anybody and won't put the cart away." DH was so confused when I retold the story about the incident because I talked more about the cart than the baby falling from it as I lifted him out.

If you include the other boards I probably think of GBCN half a dozen times a day over in some really overly personal topics. You might as well all be just in my bathroom with me really. (showering, makeup, and we won't get into the H&F overly personal discussions here wambam)

Oh yeah, if you ever want to hear about my bathroom woes or whether or not I wear underwear when I workout, oh and also about my wizard sleeves - H&F gets all of that info lol.
That Costco is the worst with overflowing cart corrals because people don't push them over the lip. And all the garbage. I park way over by the pet store because I hate people in that parking lot.
yes! like every other cart has empty sample cups and random napkins and shit in it. LIKE THERE AREN'T TRASH CANS IN THE STORE!!
And really? You're going to have them pack your junk into a fucking box and then leave said box in the parking lot? Get a life. Pick up after yourself.
My 8 year old likes to publicly shame people for leaving shit in carts (or on the ground) or for leaving their carts in a parking spot. I have no idea where she gets that from. No clue. Nope.

I was at Aldi's this weekend, and someone had figured out a way to loop the vinyl piece around to itself so they could get their quarter back without returning their cart. I raged and thought of this thread.
I went to costco yesterday without kids and I still parked next to the cart corral.
But when I was getting a cart some disgusting excuse for a human left their kids applesauce pouch in the cart. I am not a gerrmophobe and I grasp that carts in general are disgusting and filthy with other people's various germs and grossness but seriously. AN APPLESAUCE POUCH? Your kid's mouth and repulsive grimy hands were all over that. Throw that shit away.
I always do even if there isn't a quarter collateral, unless my kids are buggin out which has only happened like twice and I still put it I'm a place it's not blocking anything.

Yes!! one of the two carts just hanging out in a parking space next to my car had two soggy cardboard boxes in it. COME ON PEOPLE.

That seems like more work than just putting the cart away.
I'll bump this because I was just thinking of this yesterday (d/t what have you learned) and got a like today from ages ago.
I had to park like an asshole at Costco yesterday because of people not returning carts. That place has numerous returns.
I thought of this thread. What have you done to me?! Costco at 6p can't be picky about spots. Your not returning makes me look awful. Fuck you, not returning fucks! (I wouldn't rage normally. And as in rage mode)
I'm dying to know what the people that are all "But I have kids!" think will happen to their children while that take 60 seconds or so to return their carts?

At Target today, a lady walking out in front of me abandoned her cart right in front of the exit. Like, stoped walking, got out bags, and just left the cart. The place they keep the carts inside was aprox 3 feet to the left.
I bet the people who leave carts scattered around are the same who leave their newspaper on their metro seat so "others can read it". Take your damn newspaper with you. You're littering and I don't want to need to move it to sit down.
I get that this is a year old.. But I LOVE when people do this.

I would passive-aggressively yell, "HEY, DO YOU WANT ME TO RETURN THIS CART FOR YOU?!"
Also, thanks for the reminder that AAM2012 doesn't return carts if it's inconvenient and will die on that hill.
