I can't participate too much in these threads for now since the BFP and getting put on modified bed rest. I am eating mostly like crap and am not allowed to exercise. I will probably hang around because I'm hoping to get off bed rest next month and then will need to get back on the train of eating healthier and doing low impact exercise again. I want to try to not gain too much this pregnancy.
Thanks for adding me! I weighed in on Sunday and lost 4.2 pounds!
This morning I had a nonfat tall caramel macchiato. The app said a tall was 8oz and 6 pts. As I was drinking it I realized it was definitely more than 8oz. A tall is actually 12oz. So I need to be more careful with my measurements and such.
But so far I'm really loving WW because I'm learning portion control and I can still indulge every now and then.
I do online only. I love looking at all the before and after pictures on the connect app, definitely inspiring.

If you like iced coffee, I get a triple espresso over ice in a venti cup at Starbucks and add a caramel Premier Protein shake (or chocolate if you like mocha stuff). It's 2 pts, 1 gram of sugar and 30 grams of protein. I don't eat breakfast, but I do this almost every morning.

Thanks, I'm not a big fan of protein powders though. I think I'll keep my caramel macchiato as an occasional treat.
I was down about 1.5 pounds. Total weight loss is -10.3 since April 25. So yeah for hitting 10 pounds loss. Only 35 more to go to get my goals for this year.
I have been killing it during my workouts. My body is sore all over. I haven't been in this much pain in a while.

Got back on the gym train and was eating decently and GAINED weight. I'm just at a loss. I have an appointment with a new doc to get my thyroid levels and A1C checked (in addition to faulty thyroids, pancreases aren't overachievers in my family either). I have to reschedule it though because I now have a job interview at the same time and it's for a state job, so it's more of a "here's your slot. Be here or be disqualified" sort of thing, so now I have to rearrange the doctor thing.

Good luck at your interview! I'm trying to get a government job and know how tough the process can be.

This is what I do, literally every morning...but with vanilla premier. And, I've increased from a triple to a quad and also get Ristretto shots. So good! I've actually lost 94 lbs since September and absolutely don't feel like I am missing out with my morning drink, as cheesy as that sounds.
I'm looking into getting a Nespresso to back off of going to Starbucks so much, so we will see how that goes.

Thanks! I've had 3 interviews for different state positions in the last couple weeks and one is basically a shoo-in but it's not my first choice of the three.

up .6, which is exactly what I lost last week lol. Not surprised, I've been eating ice cream with magic shell at night. Hey, i got diagnosed with cancer so i feel ok eating it HA. but, now that i have a surgery date I'd like to buckle down and lose some more weight prior to that.

I haven't weighed myself since last week since I am just getting back on the wagon, but I have been logging on MFP every day and doing well with it and being reasonably disciplined. The last time I tried to lose weight, I went low carb, but this time I am accepting that I just cannot sustain a low carb diet for a lengthy period of time. That said, I am watching my portion sizes and not trying to eat too much bread or carbs.
thanks for the Add! I don't have any numbers, but I did really good with eating out this week. Only sushi lunch on Saturday. So week one was pretty good. 😀
I signed back up for WW! I'm finishing off some "bad" stuff I just bought before I started so I'm just tracking this week and trying to make better choices where possible. I'll get really back into it and buckle down next week.
I'm hoping that thyroid meds & hormone meds will help with the weight loss. Maybe next week I'll have something positive to report!
RE: healthy eating I'm doing 3 months of paleo (not whole 30) to see if I have a reaction to a few of the things my GP thinks could be causing some inflammation.
Thanks for adding me! I'm just a few days in using the WW app so I feel like I'm still trying to learn everything. The skinnytaste website has been great for dinners. I'm trying to figure out what to have on hand so I don't get hungry and start eating poorly during the day (I'm a SAHM). I bought some of the Laughing Cow wedges and keep apples, bananas and other fruits around. It's just getting used to a new way of eating because I love PB with my apples which I've been avoiding and I also used to grab a cliff bar which is 10 points so I avoid those too. I find that we are eating dinner earlier because I'm hungry in the late afternoon.
Also, the "connect" feature, is there a search function on there so you can find people with similar goals or people who post food/meal pictures?

The only thing I've found close to this is by clicking the hashtags and it will filter and show only those post with that hashtag.
I'm at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico this week for our family vacation. There is a scale in the bathroom. My only reaction is...why?!?! Hoping to be back on the wagon when we return. My eating habits have not been those of someone heading to the beach.
Despite totally falling off the wagon the last 2 weeks, I'm down a pound. Baby steps, right? At least it's not a gain (which I totally expected.) So I feel less discouraged than I did before weighing in. Just gotta get motivated to get back on track...

If she's talking about what I think she is, they're not powders. They're premade protein shakes that taste like melted ice cream and are only 2 points. I get them at the grocery store but they sell cases at Costco for cheaper. Very easy for WW!

In case this is helpful, I find logging in on my laptop and using the "create recipe" functionality to be really useful. I've managed to figure out which of our typical recipes are WW friendly and which ones I basically need to only use rarely for a splurge. It can also help you figure out how to tweak recipes to make them lower points when you see how each ingredient impacts the points.
I use skinnytaste a lot. However, I'm doing this with my husband and he loves yard sales, etc. He has been picking up used WW books (some of which are MANY years old) that have given me some good ideas. I have to recalculate the points on my laptop, because the program was so different, but it has expanded our repertoire. In order for this to work for us, we need a lot of variety. We are not people that can eat the same thing over and over.
I definitely eat dinner REALLY EARLY now. I'm hungry by 5pm. I have lost 22 pounds since March 9th. I think it is really important to manage the program in a way that you think you can do it forever. For example, I am not giving up carbs, but I think differently about the amount I eat. I also still need a small bedtime snack so I set aside some points for that. My husband manages his points completely differently. He skips whatever starch in a meal I make quite a bit. He doesn't need a late night snack. He also like a lot more of the protein drinks, smoothies, etc. I would NEVER spend my points on drinks -- if it is going to count for points, I want to be chewing!!! But, the bottom line is that this program has worked for both of us even though we manage within the program in really different ways.
