This makes more sense to me than an earlier pardon. If he pardons them too early, they can't plead the fifth.
I agree that he was probably not directly involved in the fetal. U think Pence was given plausible deniability, too. But aDt's ego is so big he will probably insist that he was the mastermind even if he wasn't.
The more I learn about it, the more I suspect Jared as a huge player/motivator. His ties to Russian $ are deeper than I'd realized, at least according to Rachel Maddow.
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone besides 45 himself was involved, and him only because I'm not sure if he understands email.
I really don't think Trump is directly involved in any of this simply because he wouldn't be able to keep his mouth shut about it.
I don't know-I find it so odd/suspicious that before the election he said we'd all be surprised by Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan and look what happened in those states.
I don't think his pardon has anything to do with plans for future pardons. He doesn't plan that far ahead. Nor would he feel the need to try it out. I think this is all racism and signaling to his base that he is still with them.

So if everyone around you is a rotten, cheating turd, and you are not guilty, only because you yourself are "too stoopid" to participate, does that mean we will still be stuck with this epic fucking mess of an administration? Not expecting an answer, just quietly musing to myself.

For some reason I really think Trump will be the last one standing out of all these chucklefucks. I throne it'll be a lot easier to nail one of his croanies than him for something illegal.
Also I'm sure he's not above throwing any of them, with the possible exception of Ivanka, under the bus if it means saving his own hide.
If anyone in the administration ends up dishing the dirt on Trump, my money's on Jared.

talking heads on MSNBC are saying that those who are under investigation about russia may now be more likely to lie under oath or obstruct justice b/c they know that trump will pardon that behavior, in additional to any underlying crimes they may have committed

And the right will be all, See! Witch Hunt! Nothing to see with the Russia stuff! And the GOP wins again.

Yup.
And, I remember just a day or two before the election we were all talking on here how stupid he was to be spending his last couple of days IN THOSE EXACT states and how dumb he was since they were solid blue.
I remember thinking then that it was to save face knowing something was weird.
He is allowed to do anything that 51% of the House plus 2/3 of the Senate or Pence plus whatever fraction of the Cabinet is required for 25th Amendment say he is allowed to do.
