Sounds like a lot of us are potty training this weekend so thought I would start a thread.
I'm potty training my 2 yr old twins who will be 3 in November. I'm following the Oh Crap method for now. DS has peed in the potty a few times but nothing for DD.

Going to put my almost three year old in underwear today and see what happens. He will pee in the toilet happily when you ask, and has been in pull-ups for a few weeks now so I'm hoping this time around will be relatively painless after the year-plus ordeal we went through with his brother.
Had a poop and 4 pees and so far she's telling us when she has to go. So far so good but I think the hard part for her will be tomorrow when she has clothes back on.
Neither have gone on potty but they like sitting. DS barely went in underwear and hasn't since. DD peed in underwear twice. I'm letting them choose naked or underwear and right now they're naked. We're doing marshmallows for treat. Once they go once I'll put Finding dory on otherwise they're just playing.
I'm already so bored!! I want to organize the new nursery but don't want them on carpet yet.
Made it to nap time without an accident so that's cool. Going a little stir crazy! Stella keeps asking to go for a walk or go to the beach. I'm out now to get some art supplies while she sleeps so we have a fun afternoon activity.
We're also PTing our twins this weekend. We started this morning and have had one poop in the toilet and no accidents, but the day is young. Keeping my fingers crossed we can get our reluctant one to give it a shot, she just keeps asking for a diaper.
We made it to nap time with only 2 accidents, they did really well. I'm eager to try them with clothes on and a possible outing so am trying to be patient and give it some time. They've both seen their new underwear and are eager to wear them.
When are you guys thinking of putting on clothes/taking them out?
We won't leave until Monday night for a cookout. Hoping they are willing to go on potty more by then. I know it's day 1 but I thought they'd catch on easier. At least they aren't asking for diapers.
After they had both done a decent pee we put underwear on and got dressed for a walk around the block. We stopped back home and asked if anyone need to use the potty and they both said no, so we did another loop. We're planning on naked time today other than sitting at the table for meals, and then a pull-up at night.
Our plan is to stick at home completely today and tomorrow, other than the occasional walk today. If today goes well I think we'll add in a 10-15 stop at the playground while we walk, I just don't want to try car outings until Monday.

We decided not to try this weekend. Baby had an ear infection and is taking amoxicillin... last time it gave her terrible Diarrhea. She did pee on the potty this morning! She said she had to pee and went to the potty. I think we would have had success but I'm too afraid to go diaper free when she is sick
Day 1, all naked, lots of pee and one poop all in the potty and no accidents. Debating between pants tomorrow or waiting until Monday? I know they want two days of no pants but thinking more days in pants will be helpful when she goes back to daycare Tuesday?
Each had an accident this afternoon but did well about saying when they needed to go potty. I'm thinking of trying pants tomorrow to get them ready for daycare. We did undies after nap time so they could practice pulling them up/down and they did ok with it.

Great job! I might do undies in the morning and see how that goes and either graduate to pants after nap or wait till Monday for pants? I took Tuesday off specifically to go to the beach alone but will stay home with S if I think she needs one more day. I'm hoping not!

A good first day for us! Lots of pees and a poop in the potty. A few accidents, but he spoke up while they were happening each time and even managed to stop and make it to the potty twice to finish after. I will probably still put him in a pull-up for church in the morning.
We started yesterday. He initiated 3 times for pees and told us twice that he needed to go. Only about 3 accidents and just first thing in the morning.
Today has been slightly less successful. He dribbled a few times on the floor, but stopped himself from all out peeing each time. The problem is that once he got to the toilet (mostly self-initiated after starting to pee) he wouldn't go. I think he's a camel. He did just a teeny tiny bit of poop today. I hope he poops tomorrow because that's two days with no poop and he typically goes twice a day.
I think we had a bit of resistance today, so I am curious what tomorrow will bring. I felt like I could relax a bit after he peed each time because I knew it would be awhile before he needed to go again. I am hoping to get him into pants tomorrow, maybe after nap, and spend a little bit of time at the park or something. He wanted to go today, but I think that would have been a bad idea.
We've been up since 6 and had 1 accident. DS is doing great and will sit on the potty and go when he needs to. DD tends to not want to stop what she's doing to sit on the potty which makes it a bit tricky as she's also a bit of a camel. I'm trying to balance reminders with knowing she can go an hour or more between pees.
We're also due for a poop and haven't gotten one from either of them yet on the potty so that will be interesting.
We decodes to try with almost 3 yo DS this weekend since he's been peeing in his potty when prompted for a couple months. Yesterday started put promising with 4 or 5 pees, one accident in underware, couple more pees, then we used pull ups and he peed during a nap and after nap just wasn't having it. We tried to get him to pee last night and this morning, bribed with treats and got nothing but his telling us now, then eventually screaming bloody murder when we try to get him to follow us to the bathroom. So, I think I'm calling it off for the weekend. Sigh... I thought he was ready but judging by those screams, I was wrong.
DD pooped during nap in her pull up. DS pooped in his underwear right after dinner last night but both went on potty before bed. DD is our camel and will sit on the potty forever before she goes. Neither have said when they want to go but aren't scared of potty. We were up late so they slept in and had already peed in pull up before we got up.

FWIW, Oh Crap says this is pretty normal and in no way means your kid isn't ready. It's about them having control.
That makes sense. We're not totally giving up this weekend but going to drop the pressure a bit. Doesn't help I'm in SoCal and we're having a heat wave (109 on my covered patio yesterday) and have been cooped up inside for a few days. I think were all a bit on edge which isn't helping. Lol.

This is my struggle with DS so far. What has worked up to this point is encouraging him to sit while he's watching a show. He mostly is fine with staying put until he pees if he's engaged in an episode of Curious George. But then I question whether he's really getting that he needs to be the one to initiate this process and decide when he has to pee. He gets excited when he starts peeing though, so I guess that's good.
We've had two accidents so far this weekend and both were when we tried undies. I think we are going to ditch the undies and do commando under pants after nap. I think the oh crap book was right and the undies are confusing her. Hoping any accidents in pants are uncomfortable and makes it click. Poop we have been doing great and all 3 have been in the potty. We still haven't left the house. Planning out very short trips tomorrow depending how the afternoon goes in pants.
Ok, he's peed twice today, once prompted about 1.5 hours after getting up and once unprompted about two hours after that (and he stopped playing to go). No accidents. We went to the park for 30 minutes in shorts, no undies. I feel like he might have this down. I just need to get him to poop.
We did ok this morning. DD finally pooped and got it in the potty. They got a bit frustrated with me prompting them to go. I'm thinking of trying them in pants commando after nap time.
DS woke up at 8:30 wet. He peed prompted at 9:45 and unprompted at 11:45. He did not wet his nap diaper. It is now 4pm and he hasn't peed since 11:45. No accidents. That feels like a really long time for a two year old.
He hasn't had a ton to drink today. As far as liquids go, he's had a bowl of watermelon, half a cup of milk, about 1.5 cups of water, and a popsicle.
