This has been such a hellish two years (I include the primary) that I'm following random elections in states nearby so I can maintain some level of hope.
This week sucks (election and my grandma's death last year) but I hope y'all get good news tonight and we see some good trends for 2018.
I'm so distracted and anxious that I'm leaving work earlier than planned. I'll finish my stuff in the AM.

Headed to pick the baby up from my in-laws. I'm going to go home and snuggle with her while I watch the returns. I really hope I won't have to apologize to her at the end of the night.
I have been drinking. I can no longer be held accountable.
Ha - I thought I had posted it twice.
Jinx!!!!

This is good news. However, the DNC best not be getting any ideas and use this as justification in 2018 to push a slate of boring-ass white dudes whose only appeal to the base is that they are less racist than the other guy.
That is wild for Chesterfield. They also, though, had a polling station go down because someone "closed out the electronic book" early, so there are a mess of provisional ballots and people yelling.
I handed out sample ballots at my elementary school for an hour and a half. The republicans weren't even there. There was a great turnout the poll observer said they were at 42% which is better than previous years.
