I don't think this is the act of a single person. I think it's at the very least a few people and I don't know if the first three explosions are related to this last one. It could be a group or we could have a copycat.

I believe the police chief had said in his briefing that there were similarities with the way they were constructed...? I hope it can all be traced back to one source. I am sickened at the thought of more than one person feeling bold enough to do this.
My sister still lives there (in a house my mom owns) and my mom sends packages there all the time that my sister doesn't know are coming. I told my mom this morning that she needs to be explicitly clear with my sister when a package is going to arrive and provide tracking so that my sister knows if something should be there.

This is terrifying and infuriating.
Our neighbor was killed by the Silver Spring / DC snipers. I lived in FL at the time, but my family still lived in the area and I was so worried for them.

This is frightening. I was in Alexandria, VA when the sniper hit and my work went on utter lock-down (I was working at a private school). I hope everyone stays safe and that they catch whomever is doing this.
I heard about these bombings on the radio this morning. The DJ said that the Roots had cancelled their SXSW appearance in light of the bombings and the fact that they may be racially motivated. Can't find any other sources at the moment.

THis is horrifying. I can't imagine the fear of living there or having friends/family who live there.
Like a PP said, I am hoping that maybe someone near the latest explosion had home surveillance or a Ring doorbell or anything. Just something to get the person/people doing this on camera, even if quality isn't great. It seems like a lot of people have Rings or house cameras nowadays (well, at least more than used to--we were doing canvassing yesterday and ran across around 8 Ring doorbells out of about 40 we visited).
Either way, I hope the sick person/people behind this are found quickly before any more harm can be done.
I want these evil assholes caught. I want public cameras. The trade off of supposed loss of privacy for being able to catch perpetrators is an easy choice for me.

My BIL/SIL live in East Austin closer to where one of the 1st three bombings was and I have friends all over the area there. I’m concerned about them all and I’m surprised it’s really not being mentioned by anyone on FB. Austin is one of my favorite places and was Home for several years. I hope everyone stays smart & vigilant and this comes to a swift end.
I too was in the dc area for the sniper. It was such a scary time and the unknown and what ifs took such a huge toll. I hope this ends quickly and with no more loss of life.
It’s also pretty scary how close together (time wise) these are occurring. Either they are a master bomb maker or they have a lot of these already made for use.
Austin police have deployed a hazardous materials squad to a FedEx shipping facility near the city's airport to investigate reports of a suspicious package.
It isn't known yet if the suspicious package is linked to a bomb that detonated earlier Tuesday at a FedEx distribution center near San Antonio or the four bombs that have gone off in Austin this month.
But the Austin Police Department says an investigation is underway.
The FedEx location near my home is closed and cordoned off with police tape. The FBI are investigating that it is the location from where the package was sent to the SA facility.
