How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set? 2 days
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? Greatly. When I'm sleep deprived, I can't muster the energy to workout, which leads to an endless cycle.
How much sleep do you get on average? 5.5-6 hours, 7 if I'm lucky and that's not solid- I always wake up in the night, ugh. I do try to get at least 1 nap in on weekends for 1-2 hours.

How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set? 1 at most.
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? Based on how I run after a good sleep week vs. not, I know I could do better with more sleep. I also eat like crap when I'm tired.
How many days a week do you typically get up before 6AM? 5AM? hardly ever
Do you have a time that you refuse to get up to work out? before 6am (I work out in the evening or weekends at 8)
How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set? 1 day
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? Not training for anything really but if I get less than 7 hr on average my mental state suffers and I look bad too so I'm sure it would affect training recovery too.
How much sleep do you get on average? About 7 hours
How many days a week do you typically get up before 6AM? 5AM? The only day I regularly get up before 6 is long run day
Do you have a time that you refuse to get up to work out? Anything that starts with 4 or earlier
How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set? 1, whichever weekend day I'm not doing my long run
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? I am definitely one of those people who needs a lot of sleep. It sucks, but it's how my body is. I can function on one short night, but not 2. And trying to train like that? Forget it, no way.
How much sleep do you get on average? Average is probably about 7 hours
How many days a week do you typically get up before 6AM? 5AM? Pretty much never. My alarm goes off at 6 and I snooze till 6:30
Do you have a time that you refuse to get up to work out? Lol like before 8, ha! I never work out in the morning during the week. On the weekends I work out after I sleep in. Races are the earliest I’ll get up to do something.
How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set? Usually Saturday and Sunday depending on if dd has something going on or if I have a race or something.
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? I do think sleep is important. I cannot work out early in the morning. I’m much happier working out in the evening when I’m not tired.
Garmin tells me I get between 6.5 and 7.5 hours most nights. I also try and read or chill for 15-30 minutes before I actually go to bed.
How many days a week do you typically get up before 6AM? 5AM?
DS gets up between 5 and 6 a couple mornings a week. He was up at 5:15 this AM, but went back to bed. I ran after he went back to sleep. I don't wake up before 5 for much of anything.
Do you have a time that you refuse to get up to work out?
Before 5 AM
How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set?
Sunday, even if I am not working out I still have to go to work.
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? If I get 7 hours I can function, less than that am I am a hot mess. I think it makes a difference and I try and focus on sleep during taper.

Do you have a time that you refuse to get up to work out? 4:30
How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set? 1, Sunday
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? I think I'm generally more tired during a heavy training cycle.
Also of note: I go through phases were I have horrible, awful insomnia. It usually comes out of nowhere and I'll go multiple days with very little sleep. It's been happening since college. It's really frustrating.
How many days a week do you typically get up before 6AM? 5AM? Only if a kid wakes me up. Normal wakeup time is 6:30
Do you have a time that you refuse to get up to work out? Before 6am. Anything earlier requires a bedtime of 9pm which means I get no time with DH (the kids aren't reliably asleep until 8:30 or occasionally 9).
How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set? 7 - I wake up naturally by 7 or I get woken up earlier by kids. DH sets an alarm 3 days/week for a 6:30 workout but it almost never wakes me (he's often awake just before it goes off).
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? It's huge. Lack of sleep means I eat like crap then I feel like crap. One night of poor sleep doesn't affect training much, multiple nights has a huge impact.
I almost always try to get to sleep by 10pm, so when I'm lucky I get 8.5 hours of sleep. That's how much I need to actually feel good. Less than 8, I feel okay, less than 7 I'll be okay if it's one night, anything less or with multiple interruptions (baby!) and cognitive functions are significantly diminished and physically it's hard to push (although a nice easy workout just to get moving a little actually helps everything feel better). I also almost never have caffeine, because it has no immediate effect on my tiredness while actually preventing me from sleeping when it's bedtime.
How many days a week do you typically get up before 6AM? 5AM? It depends on my training cycle. Right now I'm getting up between 5-5:30AM 6 days a week. But on off months maybe 3-4 days a week I will get up that early.
Do you have a time that you refuse to get up to work out? I will do 430-5AM wakeups 1-2 times a month, but try to avoid them as much as I can. I would only do 4AM for like a race or something
How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set? At minimum 1 day
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? I can handle early wakeups once in a while, but if I do them too much, I get super cranky and get headaches later in the day.

How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set? I could technically sleep in without an alarm 3 days a week. However with DS up so early, it doesn’t matter either way.
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? I have zero energy without enough sleep. I found this out when I was trying to workout and DS was still waking up every 2 hours. I reallllly need sleep to have energy.

How many days a week do you sleep in with no alarm set? - 5 days. I’ll set it on my teaching days, but I usually am up before it goes off.
How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? - Too little and I’m a mess. I’ve been having a lot of trouble sleeping lately. I can do a couple days on 5 hours, but it will be harder. After a couple days of that or less than 5, it’s the struggle bus.

How much sleep do you get on average? at this point, I have no average - being perimenopausal, my sleep is constantly changing. I hope for 7-8 hours, sometimes get it, sometimes get a lot less and sometimes a bit more
How many days a week do you typically get up before 6AM? 5AM? Right now I don't have to get up before 6am as I'm not running long enough to need to do so and have off two days a week. Before the summer, I'd get up once before 6am at 5:30am.

How do you think sleep affects your training cycle? I would love to get more sleep, as lack of sleep affects me in a variety of ways, but I actually don't think swimming is one of them. I'm pretty consistent with my swimming no matter how much sleep I have or haven't gotten.
