I was only keeping up on Twitter but I have to stop. I am in a big conference room in a meeting and just seeing pictures of Dr. Ford and hearing about what she is having to listen to and go through, and the Grassley comments/tone, has me covertly wiping tears.
Hugs to you. This happened to me on Tuesday. I had to close my office door to cry a little, but also had to be at a meeting in like 7 minutes. I faked having an allergy attack in the meeting as a cover.
Is it helpful to provide details about what is happening? I have to step into a meeting in a minute, but can continue doing that once I'm back.
It is for me. I can't watch or listen at work. I wonder if I can rewatch it later? Not that I really want to, but I'd like to see more in context than the short recaps tend to get into on the evening news.
I'm only listening, but it is weird how they cut off the prosecutor and switch to a senator. Does it switch between parties?
Yes. The Democrats are not ceding their time to the proxy hired by the GOP to do their questioning. So far all the Republicans have ceded their time to her.

It generally does. Note this committee is very close (I think 11 to 10 or something like that). If the split was different you would see more folks from the same party going back to back.

I keep tuning in and then re-muting my feed, I need something to temper my anxiety. I've discussed more about my attack and the aftermath of what happened with my husband this week (who is out of town) than I probably ever have with anyone outside of a therapist or group session in the 21 years since it happened.
So far seems to be a mistake to have the prosecuter ask for the Rs. Her questions don’t seem to be landing anything and it leaves the Ds to have the real emotional moments.
