Lower school is 8-2:45 Middle is 7:45-3:00 Upper school is 8:30-3:30
Off topic regarding length of school day but this makes me wonder about transportation. Does the school provide transportation? I having trouble picture how this would work in a district that busses students. I went to a larger but reasonably compact district in western PA ( just looked up it- 28 square miles) and bus routes took over a half an hour each.
Our elementary school is 9:05 to 3:50 (I think we're among the latest start/finish in our district). My kids get dropped off at before school care around 7, DD walks home at the end of the day, and DS gets picked up from after care anywhere between 4:15 and 5.
Sometimes I feel bad about the really long day, especially for DS, but then I go to pick him up and he tells me to come back later so that's obviously just my issue, lol.
8:05-3:00, except for Wednesdays when they get out at 1:30. He gets on the bus at 6:58 am and goes to aftercare until a little after 5. He started sleeping A LOT more at night after school started (he’s in K).

We are trying to decide between 2 schools for DS. First one is the public elementary school which is 8 to 2:50. The other is a magnet school which is 8:20 to 3:35.

Private school with no bussing our times are spread out enough to make carline manageable, but close enough so parents can make one drop.
I sub for my local public school district (just elementary schools). They are in school from either 8:30-3:10 or 9-3:35. I've only subbed at one of the schools that do the later start (due to busing issues) once so I might be a bit off on those times. So roughly 6.5 hours.
ETA: Fridays are late start weekly for teacher meetings etc. So the kids start at 10am or 10:30am.
