Harry was also at the London Marathon on the 28th. So maybe I finally do have a royal baby birthday twin after all (4/27)!
I really didn't think the baby's been born until the Queen visited her the other day. I went almost 2 weeks overdue with my first, so it's definitely possible with the timing that she's still pregnant (I may or may not have done the same calculations msmerymac did), but the last thing I needed was people visiting me to see me 90 years pregnant and annoyed. Especially not literally the Queen of England.

I do imagine a good, deep curtsy might help move labor along though! Even if I wouldn't be able to stand back up out of it.
Kate announced in September at 6ish weeks and had Charlotte May 2. Meghan announced about 5 weeks after Kate, and we assumed she was at 12+ weeks, which would put her baby due at least a week or two before Charlotte.
If you assume she was exactly 12 weeks on October 15 when she announced, she would have been 40 weeks on April 22, which matches up with 1) Easter (which was April 21) and 2) when Doria arrived. Which doesn't mean she's not still pregnant, but she'd be overdue at this point.
If she said end of April/beginning of May, then she was probably due in the last week or so of April, and assumed she'd go past 40 weeks, as most first time moms do.
Wow, that is a lot of pregnancy math.
I don't think it was assumed at all that she was 12 weeks when she announced, I think the assumption is she was forced to announce early bc they were going on their tour and there would be some things she wouldn't be able to eat/drink/participate in.
It was actually in the announcement that she had already had her 12 week ultrasound and was feeling well.

This was KP's official announcement at the time: Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.
The Queen doesn't usually just visit residences like that though, so I am guessing the baby was born the day or 2 before the Queen was there. When was the Queen there again?
ETA- I guess she also visited them in March to welcome them to the new home, so maybe she does just visit. But I would think it unlikely that Harry would go on a trip if the baby has not been born yet. Since it is only 7-8 days away.

"A palace spokesperson confirms to ET that Meghan has passed her 12-week mark of pregnancy and is in “good health.”

I agree, especially since his name wasn't on the Anzec program "just in case". So I can't see them announcing a trip if they aren't 100% sure he can go.
I think she either had the baby already or she is overdue and they have scheduled an eviction. I was only 25 with my first but my doctor didn’t like to go past 41w. I think most of the current research shows going too far overdue is more dangerous so if she was due a week ago, it wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve scheduled an induction or a c/s.
Maybe the baby is even breech and they can’t get it to turn so they’re scheduling a c/s. This just suggests to me they know the baby’s birth date whether it’s already happened or is scheduled to happen very soon.

I also wonder if things are different in the UK. I've only known a couple of women deliver there but they both went way overdue (42 weeks each, IIRC) before their doctors were even willing to talk about next steps, so I am not sure how likely inductions/c-sections are there (I know I could look that up, but can't right now). She herself may want to just let nature run its course (I did too but then you get to a point after 41 weeks where you're like GET THIS BABY OUT).

Also, I haven't been paying too much attention but has their been a lot of media coverage at the cottage? I would think if she's in labor, medical/support staff would suddenly be coming to the house to deliver the baby there. I don't know if there's a special entrance where reporters wouldn't be able to see if people coming in and out.

I went 42plus1 in the UK. They wouldn't even consider induction before 42 weeks. I was not married to a Prince, however.
I don't think she's had the baby. Mostly because I want them to be better at PR than to announce that they had a baby a couple weeks ago and didn't tell anyone but the queen. While I realize they owe us nothing, I still think it would a mis-step to have a long delay in announcing. I could see waiting to announce until the next day or a couple days later, but 2 weeks??

I did just see in an article on People that the palace did say that they would announce when she's in labor. I guess Meghan did really want visitors while a million years pregnant. She's a better person than I.
I think she had a home birth on 4/18. There were photos on twitter of a van and several cars at frogmore cottage on 4/18, hypothesized to be a midwifery/birth team. Then the Cambridges stop by 3 days later and then TQ a week after. Plus her last public appearance was 3/18 and Kate stopped working 1 month before each of her births.

My guess is she has no choice but to receive a visit from the Queen of England. 😫

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during the visit.
Rebecca English (royal reporter) just tweeted that Baby sussex isn’t here yet. She’s usually very in the know so I doubt she has had the baby and they have kept it a secret so long.

I also am in the camp the baby is already here. Meghan and Harry give zero fucks about the media or official palace announcements.
And why would they announce when she’s in labor now? Didn't the palace say (or imply) it would be a few days before they officially announced the birth like two weeks ago? It makes no sense that they’re going to tell us she’s in labor but then not announce the birth?

I had my son at the Portland hospital and the dr was basically like, “Would you like a c-section or natural? Or we can induce if you’d like.” I went with an induction and all the nurses at the hospital congratulated me on a natural birth. I was the only natural birth while I was there. The “Too posh to push” was right on the money. Crazy.
