Carolina Herrera for their royal audience. I want to love it, but the waist is all wrong. I think that if she’d gone with the empire waist in the original design (linked below), it would have looked so much better.
The original is true waist, not empire.
I think lining the dress made it too heavy...maybe a soft fabric would have worked even with the pregnant belly. The double ruffle sleeves definitely don't work with that weight fabric, but they might have worked in sheer. They are lovely on the runway dress, and I am not usually a fan of that type of sleeve.

Yes, you’re correct about the waist. I think I was just willing it to be empire. lol
I also agree with the rest of your assessment. The lighter fabric would have been lovely!

The Carolina Herrera dress looks like exactly what I would expect would happen if you took a runway dress and designer and asked them to modify it to make it maternity friendly and modest.
It is beautiful fabric, but the dropped waist is all wrong and it does look too heavy now.
I think it is unimaginably difficult to dress a bump with fashion forward choices while also remaining proper looking. She also has an incredibly short torso, which is why the drop waist looks so wrong in placement here (I mean, it might not be a dropped waist but it appears to be). At the same time, I don’t think I would want ruffled gathers starting above my waist in a dress that big and long,it would just make everything look even bigger.

I don’t think it’s helping that she’s carrying insanely high. I’ve got a short torso and my bump was so low it was obscene. lol.
I’m not a fan of most of her Morocco clothes. The fit of the outfits are just making her look off. But I get dressing while pregnant can suck.
Same. Like I feel for her and get she probably wants to be comfortable but she looks so much better in things that are more fitted. The red dress and the blue dress have no shape. She’s so pretty. Her outfits for this visit are just not good.
I know we are not supposed to comment on a PG woman’s body but I’m going to anyway. When I saw her in the red dress and the blue print, I was thinking there was no way she should be traveling this close to her due date because she looks like she could go into labor any minute. But then I saw her in the casual pant outfits and she looks so much smaller. So I guess I’m not commenting on her body so much as how she is dressing. Those silhouettes are doing her no favors. She looks fabulous in pants.
I actually love the runway version of the blue print dress but I don’t like how she dropped the waist or added volume to the sleeves. It looks too 80’s. Although there may be cultural/religious reasons for the changes. I know when we have taken tours of palaces and or temples in both Buddhist and Islamic countries, I had to have my shoulders covered. I’m wondering if the see-through sleeves were not enough to count as “covered”. Also, she may not be able to show her PG silhouette when in the palace or religious buildings. Out in the market she would have more freedom in her attire.
It seems whatmeghanwore originally linked the wrong Carolina Hererra dress but have since updated their post. Ther original version of the dress was green but had the same sleeves and waistline, only the neck was altered. I do not care for the runway version either but Meghan looks as nice as the model does.

You guys, she can't wear tight shit in Morocco! It is a very conservative country, clothing wise. She's dressing according the customs of the country, which is what the royals always do.
And anyway, I would relish the opportunity to wear a lot of fancy caftans if I were her. I think she looks great. Who cares if she looks "big"?? She is EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT!!!!T

I keep thinking Meghan must be exhausted. She was in NYC last week and then Morocco this week. I am not 7-8 months pregnant and I'd hate it. She gets mad props (do people say that anymore?).
That dark blue dress is 100% what I would wear if I were 8 months pregnant. At that point I didn't want anything touching me, especially a tight, stiff dress.
I think Meghan just looks swamped in both the white dress and the blue one. Not sure if it is the length, or the amount of fabric. The designers are not doing a good job of modifying a normal dress for pregnancy. Maybe it’s not easily possible, or they don’t do it regularly enough to do a good job?
Kate Playing soccer at one of the NI events this morning
I think I had this sweater in 1992.
It's possible that this is a local cricket team sweater. But it could also just be a British/Irish designer sweater - it's something I've seen a lot over here.

I feel like every time Will and Kate go on a tour they look so relaxed and happy. And seriously Kate, you make sports look easy too? Is she even human? Lol
With how well Kate dressed during her pregnancy I am pretty surprised at Meghans choices. I know they have different body types and styles but so much of what Meghan wears is just ill fitting. Surely she has someone to help her find fashionable and flattering clothing?
Also, back to clothes, she's so skinny I think the sleeve is wider than her waist. The dress is lovely. I think the color is great.
And I still think all y'all are way harsh to Meghan. Her maternity clothes are interesting. I like most of them. She doesn't look like every pregnant instagrammer ever in the same skinny jean/fitted shirt/espadrille or bootie combo.

I agree. I don't think she is nailing her maternity style 100%, but she is trying interesting things.
