MrsAxilla , I'm so sorry. I also lost a cat to the same thing, on my one-year wedding anniversary. Afterward, we were like, "...so. I guess we'll get some lunch?"
I think I have the GD flu. I am waiting on the call from urgent care since the test supposedly takes an hour. I HAVE NO TIME FOR THIS.
OMG, I hope not (had it last year even though I got a shot). GL to you. I thought I had strep. And I definitely say if they offer, do the breathing treatment. I felt not so deathly ill after. ETA: I got caught in a phone call, but glad you don't have the flu!

We had to put our cat down today. It came out of the blue - saddle thrombus, in which a blood clot from the heart breaks loose and causes paralysis in his hindquarters. Abysmal prognosis, even with intensive state-of-the-art care.
I keep coming back and finding things that just make my Grinch heart swell. Like "HERO" (where the o isn't underlined). And if you double-click on the women who pops in, you punch her in the face.
Teachers or lawyers or social workers who have to tote way too many files around...what kind of bag do you use?
Still shopping for my soon to be a public defender sister's law school graduation present. Torn between kickass classic briefcase kinda deally for court days and big bag for toting way too much shit around to places like the jail. Also my sister is pocket sized so something like the dagne legend would dwarf her.
Sitting in a coffee shop in Fargo ND. The first bible study group was talking about how they believe the earth is flat. The next one is now discussing whether or not the words written (in the Bible or a study guide? I'm not sure) are paraphrased. it's a lonely existence in this town.

Edit: I go the results and do not have the flu, but I still feel like death. I still have no time for this though.
We had this go through the house last week, I tested negative for the flu. It sucks. I'm on Day 8 and my lungs still are so junky (I have asthma, though).

Oh no I’m so sorry! I hope you get some relief soon!
Sick as a dog over here. Coughing, congested, and hacking up a lung. Don’t want to go to urgent care because it’s snowing and it’s Seattle which means folks don’t know how to drive and everyone is “stay off the roads.” SInce the area’s plow went kaput and many roads aren’t plowed (and it’s still snowing) I’m just sitting here wallowing in my misery.

I judge people for keeping Trump supporters as friends and I'm quietly cutting people lose when I see their Trump shitheads come up for air on their Facebooks. Are you that hard up for friends? Get a succulent or a beta fish or something.
My mom has had the flu for a week and I haven’t seen her for fear I could get it. I am really mad her doctor didn’t officially test her or prescribe tamiflu when she went in last week. Their insurance is awful and I am sure she paid $200 for the doctor to tell her to rest and drink plenty of fluids.
I am a little worried that she is still so down and out after 6-7 days
We use low-cost outside companies to design our magazines, after laying off almost our entire production staff a few years ago to save money. It's infuriating to (a) have to coordinate everything via email (overseas in a few cases, so we don't get an answer or results back right away), (b) to see the garbage they turn out, and (c) to deal with their shitty attitudes when we ask for changes.
Plus they have no design intuition and have to be told every. little. thing. Some of the proofs I get back are astoundingly bad. Seriously, stuff along the lines of:

Tamiflu only works if she takes it within 24-48 hours of symptom onset. So if she didn't make it to the doc by that point in time, there is no point in prescribing Tamiflu.
