Anyone who has used one of the places where you send the photos of your room and they help you figure out what would look good? We just moved into our new house, and figuring out curtains, area rug, etc. for our large room (living/dining/kitchen) is really daunting. I would love help. Has anyone had any experience with this - good or bad? I worry they will pick crazy expensive items.
Or if those here love helping with this kind of thing, I would be happy to post photos!
I used Modsy for our master BR, DDs room and our LR/DR. I had fun with it. I used a coupon code and got the least expensive option so I think it was under $50 for each room. Some of the stuff they picked out was super expensive but I found some good alternatives on my own.
For our LR/DR I got a little frustrated with their choices because I don't think they totally were able to mesh mine and DHs styles. Like for the master and DDs room, it was pretty much just me, but DH wanted more say in the common area (understandably!). We still haven't decided on some of the pieces for that room.
I used modsy as well and thought that it was well worth the cost, even just to use their software. My final room ended up looking nearly identical to the modsy version. They gave out lots of coupon codes (free shipping from places that charge a fortune for shipping furniture). I probably saved $300-400 using modsy. The app lets you switch out furniture from a variety of stores. It helped cement my vision and helped with layout. I actually like my bedroom now, after nearly 9 years of hating it.
