I'm convinced the 4 month sleep regression is never actually going to end and this is my life now. I haven't slept for more than a 3 hour stretch in months, and most nights it's 2 hours or less at a time.
DS2 needed a family picture for school and we didn’t have one that also had the baby so a friend took some over the weekend which I had printed at the drug store. We all looked very happy and smiley but I just realized how much DH and I have aged since DS1.
I feel pretty good at the moment though - usually I have some help in the mornings but I was flying solo this morning and got big kids fed, lunches packed, dropped off to school at two separate drop offs and even managed to grab a coffee on my way home. Baby started to fuss as I pulled up the driveway and managed to nurse her before she started screaming.
I bought a crib off FB marketplace today because DS shows no signs of wanting to give up his, and I want to start transitioning the baby to her own room. The ad said "like new" and "never slept in" yet it clearly shows signs of teeth marks, sticker residue, etc. The baby was melting down and the woman was tearfully selling all her possessions because her landlord sold her building and she needed to be out by end of the week (she was desperately inquiring if I knew of any 2 bedroom apartments for under $1500, which is....not a thing in Cambridge, MA). Soooo I just went with it and I guess I'll consider it an act of charity lol.
Also its definitely doesn't seem to be a coincidence that every time DD gets a 3-4 oz bottle of either BM or formula before bed she has a great stretch of sleep (5-6 hours) so I will be instituting that going forward. I suspected my supply was low by the evening and this seems to confirm it.
I also got her to take them at first by nursing for the first 10 minutes or so and then popping the bottle into her mouth while literally pulling my nipple out at the same time, lol. It took a few days but now she takes the bottle just fine, from me or H.
This technique has worked a little bit for me today! He has latched during two feedings for a few moments at least.
We had a super busy weekend and as a result Zoe has been asleep for most of the afternoon/evening thus far...I just hope I don't regret this overnight.

I freaking love it when little babies really start to love their bath. DS is IN LOVE with the part of bath where I make his wash cloth foamy. He screeches laughter. It’s so hilarious.
I think D is trying to drop his evening catnap in lieu of an earlier bedtime. Great, except I need to follow very shortly after him. It's a huge struggle to get to bed and chores as it is. Much less 5 minutes to sit and decompress with a snack.
I fell asleep at 715pm after putting Ds3 down (for what is typically is last short nap) and just woke up to him crying. I guess we both needed an early night! I’m going to keep him upright for 15 more minutes and hope we can both go back to sleep for a good stretch.
ETA - decent stretch but at the time I hate most (4am) because by the time he’s ready to go back down it’s only 90 min until I need to get up.
Patsy Baloney, DS is finally loving bathtime too! He kicks and splashes and laughs and it makes me so happy!
DS is not awake yet (6:30 am) and has been sleeping since 10:30 pm. This is only the 2nd or 3rd time he's slept through the night (just turned 3 months) but I'm hoping we're turning a corner!
I’m so upset about starting daycare. This is my second and I thought it would be easier, but it’s not.
Huge hugs to you. I thought it would be easier too. I literally started crying on my way out the door, and called my mom in the parking lot sobbing-- "I've done this before, we've been at this daycare for 2 years already, I know he'll be fine, why am I crying?" I was fine after I had my cry, enjoyed my free time. E2 had a rough day (no sleep) but he adjusted afyer a couple weeks and he's been fine.
It's hard because it's your BABY and he's been with you for so long and it's a big change. But you will both be okay.
Our outing went well! C is extra sensitive today, but D didnt make a sound. Only hang up was carrying a 30 lb toddler and a 16 lb baby in a car seat through the parking lot because he refused to walk. My back may never recover.
The people I was supposed to meet couldn't make it, but oh well.
Ugh Ds3 a) woke up earlier than usual at 230 b) woke up again at 430 😴 Ds2 is going to get some extra TV time tomorrow so I can nap on the couch with him
Ugh, DD2 woke up at 12 and we couldn't get her back to sleep until 2:30 AM. I feel like absolute shit. She's almost one and this is so unusual for her. What is wrong with my baby? And I actually tried to go to bed early last night because she's been waking up at 5 AM for the last week.
Man I would kill for just one night of good sleep...
D made it from 9 to 1:30 last night. I, however, woke up at midnight and couldn't really fall back asleep because I kept expecting to get up any minute. Wtf, body.

We've definitely hit the 4-month wakeful time period, but it's showing up as won't nap and hard to get to sleep at night for everyone but me. DS is still sleeping well through the night (10pm-6am)
My wonderful mom watches DS during the day, she deals with cranky awake no-nap baby.
My stuff has all started (classes, Girl Scouts, etc.) so I'm not home (usually out with DD, who is 6 and the most chill kid ever) in the evenings until closer to bedtime, so my H deals with cranky almost-time-for-bed baby.
I get to swoop in and be the sleepy-time hero, lol. What do you mean this baby is grumpy? He's snuggly and sleepy!

Molars?
I think it must be teeth. She only has her bottom 2 so far! I feel like DD1 had so many more by now. We're definitely giving her ibuprofen before bed tonight. I cannot do that again!
Are all 3m old babies super drooly, or am I looking at another year of non stop bibs?
My kid is basically a drool fire hose and I do not remember this at all from DD. He figured out how to blow bubbles, and that's all he does. As a, "Drool/spit is gross," person, I have given birth to my worst nightmare.
ETA - he's 4 months, and I really hope this is an, "it gets better" thing.
