I have had the first dose, get the second next week. Two of my four parents have had both doses, one gets her second next week and the last gets her first next week. Three of my four siblings (and their spouses) have had at least one dose (seconds happen next week). My DH doesn’t qualify yet. My best friend gets her second next week as well. All in all, we’re doing pretty good! My state (Alaska) is the highest in the country percentage wise for vaccine distribution, they’re doing an incredible job considering the remote areas they have to serve. I feel extremely fortunate.

I received mine as an excess dosage (aka "if you can get here RIGHT NOW we will put this in your arm") otherwise I wouldn't be eligible until later this spring or early summer. My second dosage is next Saturday. I really have wrestled with the guilt of getting it "early" - I got mine before my first responder husband got his first dose. This will eventually give me more flexibility to volunteer at other vaccination clinics and public facing pandemic events without my medical team shutting me down.
I have been eligible for the first dose for some time (WA includes multi-generational households in their 1b phases) but haven't been able to get an appointment. UNTIL I found an awesome FB page for Washington state residents called "Find a COVID Shot WA" that is full of volunteers that help appointment-challenged, qualified individuals find appointments and also has people post where they've been able to find appointments or where they've seen appointments available. My appointment for my first is tomorrow (Sunday, 2/28) as is my husband's. He was also kind enough to share the availability with a couple of his co-workers/employees so they were able to find appointments for themselves or parents/others who haven't been as lucky. Ours are an hour apart but I'm hearing from my sister we should have done them a couple days apart in case there were symptoms that popped up and we needed to care for one another.
Another hint I received from posting is make sure you get the shot on the arm opposite where you sleep, so you're not lying on the inoculation spot, for those like me that don't think about those types of things in the heat of the moment.

Lurker here. Just got my second dose today. I'm not in the current group for my state (mid 30's) but was able to receive it as my spouse's tribe privately purchased Moderna to give to their healthcare workers, tribal elders, adult members and finally non-native household members of a tribal member.
I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity and am hopeful my mom will get hers as her group is starting next and she has multiple risk factors. She's pretty far down the rabbit hole on the virus being overblown so my siblings and I are working overtime to urge her.
Hoping that those still waiting stay safe and your turn comes soon. The anxiety in our community is massive.
I’m still at some nebulous future date and we all probably have a rollout horror story to share, but I am really heartened by the data from this poll!! (Currently showing 149/391 have received at least one dose, over 38%.)
My county just made teachers eligible today but it will still be a while. They are rolling it out to schools where Covid is hit hardest first. Most of my teacher friends are mad but I think it’s the equitable way to go. I will gladly wait an extra week or two for those people to go first!
Wow, as of this posting this board's population has 3x the vaccine doses per capita as the US population. (61 per 100 vs. ~20 per 100 in the USA).
Interesting. I wonder if we have a higher percentage of health care workers? (I don't think there are many over-75s here.)
ETA from reading more, I do think we have a lot of teachers, who are eligible in many places now.
There was some discussion of this in the covid thread for this week too. Definitely a high percentage of medical workers and teachers but also majority white, UMC and computer literate with time to burn online, all of which correlate with higher vaccination right now.

I have both doses. I was shocked when our county said teachers would be able to be in the first round. But I was so thankful because we have been full time, in person since mid October. My husband has both doses from the military.
Last night I had a bit of a mental breakthrough. I am sharing if anyone else is struggling as well. Perhaps it will help you.
I am struggling with being told I qualify and then the reality that the state/employer are slow walking actually getting my dept the shot. And more and more I am seeing people who WFH, volunteer for orgs etc get it. It is hard to swallow as I work in person full time. And to be told you qualify for something through healthcare job, but still not have the shot is so hard. I have been watching my colleagues get the shot since December.
But I decided if all of these people are getting it by chance or happenstance. That means my time HAS to be coming. It is positive to see so many people I know getting pulling into qualifying for vaccinations. It means we are getting those shots in the arm. Eventually the stars are going to align for my turn.
Of course I am happy for everyone. But I am also jealous. I just need to refocus.
I’ve mentioned it before but I am a teacher and have been teaching in person since August in FL. I’m not yet eligible.
I wish I didn’t feel some kind of way about the teachers and unions demanding their vaccine before they even step back into their classroom, but I do. My frustration is definitely with the state rollout, though I do support it in that senior citizens are by far the most at-risk of death/severity. I have very conflicted feelings about the entire thing.

This is an area where I think my organization should be doing more to help our employees get vaccinated. Technically I am now eligible in my state due to my employer and it sounds like pharmacies are about to open up for our group next week. Most of the employees in my org. are in field positions where they aren't able to access the internet all day. There is a huge equity gap in that I am sure it will be easier for me to arrange an appointment than the large majority of my organization. I wish we were sponsoring mass vaccinations for those field facing employees.
I’m a healthcare worker so I’ve been vaccinated for a while. My entire job is COVID-19 vaccine and I don’t think our state is doing a great job with it. We’re going to the next phase when we haven’t finished the last one and vaccine allocations aren’t enough to keep up either. Every time they add a new group, other people get pissed because they should be eligible before some other group. The amount of judgment I read from people about obese people being eligible was appalling today. People are disgusting.
Man, what’s new? If people aren’t hating on fat people, they probably died.
My state just opened for some pre-existing conditions and health concerns, including obesity. I happily booked my appointment along with appointments for my fat family and fat friends and got my first shot today.
Maybe if I wasn’t treated like shit by almost every health professional and had every illness and malady blamed on my being fat, I might have waited, but that’s not how it goes.
The comment section can bite the fattest part of my ass!
Yes, the fat-hating on social media comment sections is pure disgusting. I can't even read it.
I am fat, and if I wasn't already vaccinated due to being an educator, you can bet my ass would have signed up to get vaccinated now!

I'm not eligible yet. Based on the MN timeline released this week, the general population is eligible in "Summer". I might qualify under the definition of essential worker - public safety, but that would only bump me up to the second to last group. I signed up through the state and entered my job info and that I would be available last minute of doses become available.

This is, until this week, 90% of what I have been doing at work. Our state temporarily changed to a system that was incredibly finicky - you couldn't pause progress, you couldn't go back, you couldn't unclick anything and any error would stop all progress and you'd have to be reset at the health dept level - so I set up "office hours" where employees who don't usually use the internet could come and I would do it for them. It was incredibly time consuming and stressful, but the most important work I have ever done. The thank you notes and appreciative phone calls have been humbling. We are down to a few stragglers, so I have more time for my regular job now.
The ironic part of it all is that I completely screwed up when I initially loaded all of our employees in the system and I ended up working with a back-end health dept contractor who is awesome throughout the night (literally) trying to fix things. She and I bonded and now I can send errors directly to her. It is such a place of privilege and I am absolutely thrilled to use it for our maintenance, housekeeping, and transportation staff.
I have now completed my training and background check to do this as a volunteer for groups outside of my work on behalf of the health dept.

It’s been so hard. I ranted a bit in the general COVID thread. It’s so frustrating.
One of my friend’s has had pretty good luck getting people signed up. (As she put it, she’s got experience booking a yurt at Ft Stevens in July, on a weekend.) Her advice: She’s had luck at Safeway.com, just checking random locations throughout the day. She’s also gotten some for the convention center through the OHA site. Since the Legacy site is throttled, once you get in, wait down the clock, refresh and wait again, things pop up. She says right now Safeway is less of a wait.
Yeah, I spent at least 8 hours this week trying to get my mom scheduled. She become eligible on Monday. I've had no luck anywhere, I think every new batch of eligibility just makes the process that much harder. I did see that the Legacy and OHSU sites are being shut off and the state will now contact you when an appointment is available. I didn't see how they'd determine the order people are contacted. Should be interesting
If your mom can drive to Salem, the Salem Health clinic at the fairgrounds is open to all state residents. They’ll release more appointments for next week at Mon/Wed at noon. www.salemhealth.org/covid-19/covid-vaccine

I am in MA teaching in person since September. I am not vaccinated. Teachers will be included in the next phase, but getting an appointment time is a shit show. People are spending 10+ hours on their computers trying to get a slot. How can I do that when I am at work when time slots are released? I already have anxiety about it.

Here in Ohio, the county health department arranged for appointments by school district. They set aside a day for each district and there was no hunting/scrambling for appointments with the rest of the eligible people.Hopefully yours will be similar.

I wish NJ was doing this, and don't understand why we aren't. So instead I keep getting contradictory emails saying I'm eligible, then that teachers are postponed, and now that I'm eligible again, but there's no available vaccine. It's frustrating to say the least.
I live in a household with 4 adults: -1 = first dose done, second dose scheduled -my parents will both get their first dose next Saturday - me: not eligible for the vaccine anytime soon though I do have comorbidities that would make me eligible for the vaccine in other states.
We live in Indiana. Currently those 60 and older + healthcare workers + long term care residents + first responders are eligible for the vaccine.

Thank you! We're registered there too but haven't been able to land one yet. We're going to keep trying!

This was asked during the press conference, and they said they will draw people randomly. So, apparently not first come first serve to sign up on the website...
Thank you! I have been so interested to see how this would work. I guess randomly is the most fair way to do it. I'm hoping to luck into a Walgreen or Safeway appointment for them. I'm trying those hourly.

I'm seeing appointments at Walgreens available now in the Portland area. I just did scheduled my mom with them, so if you need help with the website, let me know.

I chose not eligible yet, but I’m waiting on a call for my appointment. I should get a call soon. My employment and health moved me up to early March time frame
I’m eligible as a health care worker but I’m not going out of my way to stalk websites to get an appointment. There are too many places you’re supposed to check for openings at just the right time, if you’re lucky and the stars and internet align. I’m just too busy with life at the moment and don’t have the energy to locate something currently so difficult to come by.

Thank you! Do you have any tricks? It tells me appointments are available too but when I go to select a time it tells me nothing is available. I've been trapped in a loop on their site all day! I tried calling but it says no appointments are available.
