Sister Wives - Ok I thought Christine was being dramatic but explaining the whole "basement wife" scenario gave a different perspective that I hadn't heard before.
It's also interesting when the shows catch up with the "start" of Covid. Reliving that time period of HUGE unknowns.
I know it's a different kind of reality show, but is anyone watching Tough as Nails? We've been watching it as a family. I've told my kids that from now on they can call me either "Knuckles" or "Mommy Eyebrows" but they don't find me funny at all. Lol. Merryl is a total badass, but I have a soft spot for Knuckles after the bulldozer challenge. It sounded to me like she was saying she had some learning disabilities, which my daughter does also so I'm rooting for her. All the nicknames are a bit much though.
Other than that I mostly watch baking reality shows. If anyone wants to talk Spring Baking Championship, I'm happy to discuss how I miss Clinton Kelly and Lorraine Pascale.
jinkies, and Jessie Palmer too - but Clinton was the best. I'm not really a fan of this latest host. I mean he's not terrible but he's not very fun or engaging.
I felt for Christine, I think she felt ignored. I also just do not like Robyn, at all. I did love the energy Meri was putting out, she actually seemed happy. RHOA - I cannot stand Drew, don't like LaToya. I do not understand how these women thought for half a second none of the bachelorette party antics were going to get out. Kenya was right when she said she was doing her job, a girl has to earn her paycheck. Not loving Porsha this season either. ETA: Married to Medicine: I am so sad about Simone and Jackie's friendship. I hope they reconcile.
When is Survivor coming back? It just occurred to me that it normally starts after the Super Bowl and I haven't heard anything. I'm sure covid is impacting things.

Last I heard is sometime in June. Everything got pushed because of covid.

Ok, MAFS...Vincent is kind of a cry baby, isn't he? I don't get it, his wife is super fun, trying new things and he gets offended at everything. Will she be forever walking on eggshells around him?

Haven't watched this week, but I fell down the "Rock the Block" rabbit hole on HGTV last night. I guess there's another season. It's pretty interesting.

Which one is he? Was his the one who felt disrespected because she laugh when the champagne went everywhere? Even his friend told him that he is making something bigger than it is.

Yes! And this week they did salsa and he was so upset he had to learn something new or he was sweaty, or he sucked at it, I still don’t know why he was mad.

I think I missed it this week. He sounds like he is needy AF, but not in the obvious way, he is moe sneaky.

I really hate Jake. He creates this entire hypothetical scenario without ever communicating anything and then gets all pissed off at his own imagination and rolls his eyes.
Jake: if I'd said I wanted to have a conversation, you would have gone to Paige anyway and stayed out later out of spite. OR You would have been combative blah blah blah
Note: Jake never said he wanted to talk. Haley said she was giving him his space.

Yeah I understand exactly nothing that comes out of his mouth.

IS this about MAFS? If so, all the men this season are needy and annoying AF. And a lot of them seem to be controlling.

Yes! They're insecure but feel like they know more. They're stuck in the 1950's yet they're not ready to be married. I know COVID made the selection process harder, but it's like they went let's pick the worst possible people and roll with it.

Yes, MAFS, sorry. I miss Woody and Miles and Bennett. I don't mind one or two of the couples being awful, but I need the majority to be people I can root for. These are 100% bad matches. I'd be friends with all the women, though.
And where are the "experts." I mean, they suck, but at least they can check in, especially to support Paige.

It feels like with each season the experts interact with them less and less.

Never say reality tv is a waste of time. Because I watched gogglebox au, I learned that mardi gras in Melbourne is a pride festival. At least it was this year. It was held at the MCG instead of in the streets. It looked so fun.

Yeah, not even sure why they have them.
We all know they're bullshit "experts" but at least indulge us in keeping up the charade. Even in NOLA at the height of the beginning of the pandemic scare they at least zoomed in.
I can’t believe they haven’t talked to Bentley about sex yet. He’s 12!
I thought the same thing! My son is just a bit younger than Bentley and he’s been asking questions, periodically, since he was eight. Plus, our schools start covering things in fourth grade. I know it was an innocent thing, but I recall that Bentley has had a “girlfriend” at school. That boy needs to be educated about sex!

Dr. Pepper is actually a well known sociologist. When the show first started and I saw her on the panel I had hope! I actually think it would be better to professionals in those fields that are local. Also, the vetting process clearly sucks. I would not mind as much if this was just an engagement period, but they had to live together and all that and THEN decide if they want to marry, but they are married. To me, that should demand the absolute best rather than just what will be good drama.

My 7 year old son asked me what sex was two days ago, and I just told him. I’m not sure why it’s so taboo, especially in today’s society. And if I was a teen mom, you bet your ass I’d be even more diligent about it.
