I get to change my response to first dose complete.
Im almost done with the 15 minute wait and have no side effects so far.
ha! I just came to post the same thing. I just got home from my first dose. Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel" came on the overhead speakers just before she gave me the shot. It's one of my favorite dance around the living room songs and it felt appropriately celebratory lol.
I can change my status to first dose received! The convention center in my city is so organized. Tons of volunteers telling you where to go and what to do. They have carts and just go down the line.
I'll be getting my second Pfizer dose in a week and a half.
Almost my entire family is either fully vaccinated (dad's FI, SIL1, SIL2, FIL) or have had their first dose (H, MIL, brother).
My mom and her husband are 66 and 74 with pre-existing conditions but waiting until they can get J&J to avoid the side effects of the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna. *sigh* At least this is progress from when they didn't want to get vaccinated at all.

First dose done and I had covid in December and have done antibody testing and still have antibodies. Very grateful. I've also helped a bunch of others get vaccines.
Fully vaxxed and I lucked out getting the j&j to boot. I work with a guy whose wife decided none of them are getting vaccinated, I don't understand that especially since this woman was scared she had it at least 4 times to my knowledge and got tested for it, all negative. So odd to me.
Louisiana is now open to everyone 16 and up, it was recently opened for pre-existing conditions for all ages and then they added more jobs and now itโs everyone.
Thank goodness. I have a sinking feeling JBE will lift the mask mandate soon. Although Orleans will probably keep it longer. I just hope the Trumpers in my parish actually get vaccinated.
Both H and I are in the current priority group. Weโre both registered and just waiting for the call with our appointment time.
My dad and SM have had their first dose and MIL has been fully vaccinated. Tough to say if SMIL will let FIL get vaccinated. Sheโs very anti-vax and just generally a fucking nightmare.
I would still have a long way to go on eligibility by age, but I spent today volunteering at a morning first dose clinic and an afternoon second dose clinic in my county. There were some leftover doses (Moderna), and I got one! Arm is a little sore but I'm very excited.
