99 in Edmonds as of 3 minutes ago. And I'm lucky, in the coolest part of our house. Still have 2 fans blowing on me. We're headed up to the AMC tonight for a movie to enjoy someone else's AC.

So I think I mentioned earlier that my Trump loving MIL is in town and H can't take days off. We decided to go to dinner tonight at an air conditioned restaurant that's down the street. One of us had to check in in person. I volunteered. It's an hour wait so I'm sitting next door happily drinking alone at the waterfront Elks Club where we're members.

100° here at 9:00 pm, our high was 109°. We made it through today ok but tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter. Our overnight low is projected to be 75° at the lowest at 5:00 am, so opening the windows won’t even be worthwhile.
Hang in there, west siders! I am certainly ready to see this heat wave break.

We lost power and it got to 100 inside out house. I gave up and cried, lol. It's on for right not so hopefully we can just get through tonight. My poor kitties.

I commiserate and also cried when the power went out today. Power outages 2 days in a row in this heat is just too much.
The peak temp at our house today was 109.1 (outside).
It's almost 11 pm and it's still 88 degrees in parts of our house. I'm very cranky and tired but I know it's too hot for me to fall asleep (even if I take a cold shower, because I will be hot again immediately after getting out).
The only creatures happy in our house are the cats. Our little black cat keeps trying to find sun patches to lay in, and our 18 year old girl has spent all day in the hottest room in our house with a look of cat bliss on her face. She's been acting really spry the past few days too - she has arthritis in her ribs, and I think the heat is making her hurt less.
It's currently 89 degrees outside, north of Seattle (Snohomish County) and steadily falling. Rumor is that it will get down into the 60s, then highs tomorrow around a rather balmy 90 degrees.

Thankfully my husband (jokingly) told me to pull it together but man this is lame. It just came on again so hopefully we will be ok tonight. He's just punished (H) because he refused the hotel room my parents wanted to buy us. I really wish I had just gone alone lol.

You doing okay?
It came back on thankfully. It originally said 2pm tomorrow and that set me off.
H and I had a long weekend in Seattle pre planned for the 25-28th. We immensely enjoyed seeing our friends for the first time in 16-17 months but were extremely happy to return to our AC house yesterday evening. Thankfully they will get some relief today.
My city in eastern WA state is on track to hit an all time high of 116 today. We're experiencing hotter temps than my SIL in AZ.
We're still expected to get up in the 90s today, but the sweet relief of the marine layer means almost a twenty degree drop from yesterday. It's currently a pleasant 72 in my living room, and I'm honestly thinking of laying down an taking a nap under a blanket.
I ended up putting one of my blue gel ice packs on my back for 20 minutes in bed last night (after a cool shower and sitting in front of the fan for an hour), and then putting it on my leg for another 10 or so. We also slept with our door open, so one of our cats kind of crawled on us a bit, but it helped to have the extra air flow from the big fan we keep in our guest room.
It was phenomenal this morning about 4:30-5:00. I took the dog out for a walk while it was cool. I ended up putting on jeans and a long-sleeved t-shirt and was still comfortable.
I don't know what's going on but WTForecast and Alexa are all giving me temperatures about ten degrees lower than the car and the actual Alexa device are giving me. They *say* it's 76 when the car and Show are showing 86. It's funny to SEE 86 on the screen of the Show, right beside our rear slider where you can *see* the heat, and then ask it and get a response of "Currently it's 76 Degrees in..." and when it's so temperate I can't get a funny forecast from WTF. Unfair! And having taken the dog to the park just an hour or so ago, it's definitely not 76. It's more like 86 so I'm going to trust the screens not the voices.
