Hi!! I didn't see a thread specific to this but I thought it might be nice to have all our kids experiences in one place. Can you please post your kids age/sex, vaccine/dose and any immediate side effects (24-48 hrs)? And if you have late side effects, can you edit your original post to update?
Thanks!
PS: This is anecdotal only so take everyone's experience with a heaping of salt!
DS1 (6yo, male) had no immediate side effects besides a sore arm (lasted about 24 hours). He did have a slight fever on Wednesday after a Sunday shot, but I don’t know if it was related or a fluke. No other side effects. He’s about 8 days out from his first dose and will get his second 11/28.

8yo girl, first dose received 11/10 - zero side effects (no sore arm either). She had covid back in February so I assumed she might feel stronger side effects from that but nope. Dose #2 due on 12/1 so that could end up being a doozy.
David got his at 12 (now 13). He was a little tired, had some spots on his legs that he said felt hot, was a little emotional, then was totally fine the next day. This was after his second shot, he didn't have any reaction after his first. We all received Pfizer.
13 year old had Pfizer back in the summer after they opened it to that age range. Only had sore arm and tired after second shot, but didn't really limit activities.
9 year old had 1st dose of Pfizer last week. She was super nervous so she was definitely tense and we kind of had to hold her arm so the nurse could get it in and out quickly. She said it really hurt going in, I'm guessing because she was tense, and the nurse wasn't about to play around. Her arm was sore for almost 4 days.
We bribed her with two grinch stuffed animals. Can't wait to see what we walk out with for the second dose.

I'm now the proud owner of a snow cone machine, syrups, and accessories. I told him that's for both shots but I'm sure if he picked out a small pack of Pokemon cards I'd still buy it. Shots are a big deal to kids. #noregrets
DS age 6: only side effect was sore arm for less than 24 hours starting shortly after the shot. The other kids at the pharmacy around his age said the same.

Some of the things mine got at Learning Express were a result of the shot. I have no problem rewarding her getting it done.

DD is 9, got it yesterday afternoon said she had the chills about an hour later, but I think she was just she was just cold. She was in her dance leotard waiting for class. Sore arm for a few hours, gone by this morning.

I was fully prepared to walk out with like 9 $15 grinch stuffies. I was glad she suggested two.
My 8 year old is 4 days out from the 5-11 dose of Pfizer. He didn't even have a sore arm. Zero side effects.
Well for adolescents the incidence of myocarditis was higher in boys - so although that hasn’t been shown for the younger set it’s not impossible for a side effect to be related to sex.
No side effects that they have reported. We did feel like they were tired the day of but it was also daylight savings time so hard to say which was the cause.
I signed up for the VSAFE tracking so have been asking them every day when I get the text.

DS is 12
1st dose- slight sore arm 2nd dose- low grade fever and very tired, about 12 hours post shot. Was short lived and after a nap and some meds, he was fine by that evening.
DS (5) - has his first dose on 11/9. He had a slightly sore arm and seemed like he was yawning more the following AM but he was completely fine when I picked him up at daycare that evening.
While we're talking about bribes, I said he could get a new transformer after shot 1. I ordered it on Amazon right after, and he spent the next two days checking the porch every hour for packages. Did not understand that mail takes time lol.
